Fantastic results everyone! :T:T:T
Hope you are ok wssla00, sending you hugs. :grouphug:
Thank you MrsMcCawber for the prompt. :A Please put me down for £240 again in October please.
I won't declare until Thursday night or Friday morning. Still hanging on to my £8.02 but will need to get milk and paracetamol tomorrow. I'm on 14 NSD so far this month and hope Wed and Thurs will take me to 16 but we will have to see.
Thanks again for your good wishes. OH seems better and I now have a voice of sorts. Had to go to work today as I have loads on at the moment but wasn't too bad.
Right going to try and sort my desk out - it's got piles of letters junk mail and stuff I haven't filed for a while so I'll speak to you all tomorrow.
Take care,
Spigs
ETA: Thank you too rosieben for the recipe lists. :AMortgage Free October 2013 :T0 -
Well I spent another £17.53 in Mr T today BUT only £3.38 counts towards my GC as the rest came from the Christmas pressie budget
I do need to go back for 2 things I forgot but in total they will come to under £1.60 soooooooooooooo can i please declare £119 something for September
:D:D I am so please that for the first time I came in under budget!! Ok so its literally pennies under but its still a success for me :rotfl:
Can I please be put down for £120 again for Oct. I am hoping to do better than september (as i had a bit of a uneccesary splurge on rubbish at the end) but I am being realistic as I need to start getting things in for Christmas pud etc.
Oh quick heads up I got 4 packet mixes of vegetable bake today in Mr T for 3p each. Now I'm not normally a fan of these mixes but for that price they will come in useful!! There was also a couple of others reduced to 15p ( a bolognaise bake and something else) - they are on the shelf in amongst the others so had I not been putting the tickets out I would never have noticed!!!
Good luck to those still going with September - the end is in sight :rotfl:Emma
Aug GC - £88.17/£130
NSD - target 18 days, so far 5!!0 -
please put poppy-glos down for £227.33 for october. thanks poppynov grocery challenge, £.227.69/300, 9/25 nsd: , 7 Cmo, 10 egm.
Me, 10 yo dd, and the dog. all food and drinks, in and out, plus household shopping.0 -
Hi all,
In the seasonal aisle, they have half price toys if anyone's looking to buy early for Decembers' celebrations. I got my nephew (3) a plasticine modelling set, and my neice (6) a Po!!y pocket set. Both half price. Was budgetting to spend $20 each, now have both sorted for $12.50 total :T.
Hi Coxy11, thanks for this tip about the toys:T. I'm going to Mr T tomorrow and will have a look. Hopefully I'll find something for the many birthday's I have coming up.0 -
Could I be put down for £280 for October please?
I'm not sure that I'm going to keep to this budget for September as I still have my final shop to do tomorrow (with loads of extra to get) but I'm ready for the challenge to try again - bring it on!:D0 -
Well on a negative note, I haven't quite kept to budget.
However, this was the first time I have taken the GC, so it has made me think much more about what I am buying, cooking, wasting, freezing.
I have had my slow cooker out, and use that most days so I have a meal ready at the end of the workday.
I have started baking cookies (thank you Twinks for your hobnob recipe, with various alterations throughout the month) & cakes & puddings.
I have been buying more meat to keep in fridge or freezer so I have meat available for the weeks menus. So that has meant less chip nights as we are all too tired to cook, and nothing ready.
I have bought less biscuits, if my DH wants any he buys his own (and I don't count them in my spend for the same reason).
I have got some vegetarian recipe books from the library so that I can find more adventurous ways of using veg from the allotment.0
