Hi all, not doing very well at keeping up with posts!:o but would like to declare £2094.84 at the end of September must get some batch cooking done, everything keeps getting so chaotic keep buying extra quick add ons for meals instead of forward planning and there just isn't the funds for it,must try harder!0
-
im quite a bit over this month (as per signature), and really really disappointed in myself. I have absolutely no idea what went wrong, and the thing that really gets me is that at no point at all during the month of September did I buy any food for dinners, because my freezer is full of meat.
I will have to try ALOT harder in October. I just hope I dont need to buy anything else this week.0 -

Hi all,
Firstly, thanks to MrsM for adding my Oct budget to the list.
Just got back from MrT. Did have a delivery planned for tomorrow night, but due to an unexpected day off, I thought I may as well got myself. The iron packed up last night - not the fuse - obviously something more technical LOL. I absolutely refuse to pay anymore than $10 for an iron - my last one - Value Range $5 - has lasted 18 months, which is more than worth it.....
Anyhoo, spent $85.84 which included the iron ($6.97) and a Di$ney birthday cake for DD for Friday. I know I could make one, but am working every other day this week. I also got a large box of 'ladies products' and a huge jar of coffee which will more than last the month.
In the seasonal aisle, they have half price toys if anyone's looking to buy early for Decembers' celebrations. I got my nephew (3) a plasticine modelling set, and my neice (6) a Po!!y pocket set. Both half price. Was budgetting to spend $20 each, now have both sorted for $12.50 total :T.
Off to update my sig and read back through the posts I've missed.

I spent €81 in total over the weekend, including €24 in M&S (instead of a takeaway, included a bottle of wine), €5.60 in SQ (milk and whoopsied bacon joint), €9 in Ikea on foods, €36.71 in Dunnes (had an €8 voucher to use, and also bought my Gran's milk and bread which she didn't offer money for, very unusually, so my spend was €29), and €5.57 in SV on bread and danishes yesterday afternoon.
Overall, I am happy with where I am at - I had a free range chicken for last night's dinner and enough for probably 2 meals to freeze from that. I am having leftover bacon in my sambos today. We are having a beef stew tonight, chorizo potatoes tomorrow, I'm using up bits of fish with pasta on Wednesday, and I have vouchers to use in Dunnes that I couldn't on Sat so will get there tomorrow night around the PTA AGM (we've a 24hr one near us) for the last few bits. Should come in under the €300 for the month overall.
I am torn for October, as I am working through stores stuff well, but may need to do my stores BIG shop before the end of the month. I think I will ask for €300 again this month please, Mrs Macawber, and amend that if I DO go North in Oct rather than Nov. I am actually surprised that, even though I wasn't as good as I'd hoped for veg over the summer, I am remarkably on track for this point of the year in my annual aim. I may use that as a benchmark again next year (with a view to cutting it even more).
Oh, and even though I'd gotten so many eggs recently on offer, I got 6 free ones late last week from a girl in the office (her DP keeps hens) and they were DELISH at the weekend in a spanish omlette. I have 2 left for this week some night, and I used 3 of the others in a chocolate cake yesterday too.
And I have a load of packets of casserole mixes and sauce mixes that I need to use up - I was checking dates and some are over by more than 24 months (oops), mostly though just the past 3 months - But as they are dry goods, I am seeeing that as "best before" and using them anyway (tongiht's stew has a packet mix dated Aug 08). And winter is coming back too which is when I tend to use those really.GC 2010 €6,000/ €5,897

Hi peeps
i`ve updated my siggy and all is still well but i have to pop out later for a couple of bits so i won`t declare until later when i get back - just to be on the safe side
Pet budget is also looking healthy so i`ll probably stock up on some extra if any decent offers are on. Cupboards and freezers are all looking very healthy so i`m very pleased with that so far into the month :j
