Hippeechiq wrote: »I now have 16 tins in the cupboard, so I'm a happy bunny.....a girl can never have too many tins of tomatoes imo
Ohh so agree with this statement. I have had 36 tins at one point but atm am down to 10 tins plus 4 cartons of passata and 6 cartons of chopped toms:rotfl: they are so handy for lots of things.
Well for someone who only wanted a chicken today I have managed to spend £17.62  Brought some T. rolls £1.99 for 9, some tinned tomatoes4 for £1.00 (would have brought more but only 5 on shelf) some prawn crackers that you fry yourself £0.49, some prawns on offer and the rest was on fruit & veg. It is Te$co day tomorrow with mum but dont want much now which is good thing cause only got £49 left till Sunday. Although have brought the GC amount down I feel that this month I have brought some things just for the sake of buying them and will have to watch this in May. Please feel free to shout at me if I seem to be buying more than need next month.:o
Have made mushroom soup today with some left over mushrooms, onion, potato, broccoli stalks, stock and cream so easy and so tasty- this will be tomorrows lunch and also got a curry in the oven for our tea and a chicken also in oven which is for mums tea as she doesnt eat curry. Rest of the chicken will be used for us tomorrow - chicken and broccoli lasagne and of course the obligatory chicken stock at the end.
Have done next weeks menu plan but am going to plan the week after as well as fortnightly one seems to work best for us. Did do a 4 week one but felt it was too regimental and consequently didnt want anything we had wrote down.(probably the reason why I ended up buying other things)
Well done to those who have finished Aprils challenge and good luck for May. If like me you still in April I hope the last few days are good.
Oh yes - should have first of our radishes at the weekend, they wont be massive but it will thin them out a bit. Cant wait and the potatoes we planted are poking their heads through the soil.
will update totals later as need to nip out.MARCH £62.38/2500 -
Hi everyone - sorry I've been MIA, had Family to stay then we had a few days away so not been able to post much. I've still kept a note of everything and have gone over for April £269.18, please put me down for my usual £250 for MAY.
Hoping to keep within budget for May, should be easy as I've still got so much left from DR deliveries. My new month started today but it was a NSD as I spent the day on the Allotment but will need to go shopping tomorrow for some Fruit and some salad stuff.
Dinner tonight is a Beef Casserole using meat from DR, it was melt in the mouth last time we had it so I know this is going to be good, serving it with carrots, swede and spuds.;)
Hugs to those that need them and welcome to all the Newbies.:D"WASTE NOT, WANT NOT!"GC for OH, myself, DD18 & DD16 includes Toiletries, cleaning stuff & Food.

Well for my first challenge can you put me down for £130 for May please. Im really going to try my hardest to stick to it, its a fair bit lower than what we're spending at the moment but its closer to what I think we should be spending (2 adults, cats and chickens)
Oh and its my birthday tomorrow!!!! The big 30 Arghhhhhh! :eek:May Groc challenge £51.70/£1300 -

It's Motherships brainchild tigerfeet, so I think she'd be better at explaining it to you than I
I'll see if she spots and responds to this post in the next couple of days, if not I'll try then. DD has crashed today after her run of a good few days. And because she had the "high", the "low" has hit her that much harder, which means I've done a lot of talking/listening/soothing/reassuring and comforting in an effort to lift her out of it, or at least trying to stop her going further down - with little success unfortunately, so am feeling a bit brain dead at the mo.
A NSD here today, but forgot to add £1 to my total for ice cream I bought yesterday, so now off to update siggy.Aug11 £193.29/£240
