Hi everyone, is it ok to join in? I hope so, today,so far, I have baked 3 loaves, cleaned the bathroom, done a lot of other cleaning and the washing machine is on for the third time. THis morning I made 6 jars of marmalade , we had sandwiches for lunch and dinner tonight is left over lamb from the Sunday roast with mashed potatoes and green beans. Bottled gooseberries for pudding, which I bottled in July, its our last bottle and I am looking forward to opening it.

    Hi all:j:j
Now im sure that iv posted this before. But here is how to do the best BBQ sauce.

    Right you need Tom sauce
Garlic cloves as many as you like. (crushed)
    Lemon juice
    Brown sugar.
    French mustard
    worcestershire sauce
Now once you have all the above. Find a bowl add the tom sauce and mix in your crushed garlic cloves then add the frunch mustartd, I use two tea spoons af this but you can use more or less. Next add a good amount of the worcester sause and a few drops of the lemon juice Then add the brown sugar i use three tea spoons of this but again you can use more or less.

You may need to play around with the amounts that you put in. Some like it richer and hotter than others, If this is the case add more mustard and WS,
If you make it too hot then to carm it down add more sugar and Tom sauce.

You will need to make it a few times to get it how you like it best.

If you dont wont to use brown sugar you can use honey in stead. I use honey the last time that i made it. I shall be useing sugar tonight as when now have some in.

    Enjoy :j:j

That BBQ sauce can be served hot or cold.

    A cheep meal is

Cook it in a pan with onion, muchrooms, peas, peppers, and anything you wont to add.
Pour in the BBQ sauce and and mix it in when hot serve with rice.

    Evening

Another busy work day but did manage to get the Wm before I went out - pulled the washing out to find the dreaded tissue all over it  - would be mostly black stuff too! Now I have those lint balls from Lakeland (I think) but had forgotten to put them in - so I chucked them and the washing in again (with no detergent) and hey presto all gone when I retrieved them! PHEW! Anyway washing drying on radiators - what a horrid wet day!!

Just made mushroom chorizo and halloumi risotto for dinner - it was just gorgeous!!!

My new best friend today is white vinegar in a squirty bottle. Prob not a very OS way of buying it but I'm hooked (and I love the smell) - so far it's done bathroom tiles (gleaming), windows (no smears), hob (just as good as hob-brite) and the fronts of the kitchen cupboards! Love it!!!

Bramble - loved your late night post last night - how kind and thoughtful!

hugs to everyone else that needs them

    Evening everyone

I did say the other day that I would try and post earlier, not suceeded today. Drissly weather here today.

Bought running shoes & some kit yesterday from lillywhites, got some bargains as most stock reduced by 70%. went out today with dog, aiming to do the couch potato to 5k programme. Really enjoyed being out and felt better
for it. I am now 1 month & 9 days not smoking.

Os today dw on emptied & reloaded. Floors swept & mopped. Kitchen was cleaned but now needs doing again as dh cooked dinner &
    makes such a mess.

Got a rejection letter for my last job application, at least they
sent a letter and I wasn't left just wondering as usual. Going to fill out my application to do some volunteering work for now.

    Candygirl - stay strong, ((hugs))
taplady - hope your ds is feeling better.
    Redruby - thinking of you.

Sorry if I have missed anyone. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Enjoy the rest of your evening. Take care.

halight no fair... I can't eat most of what's in the BBQ sauce!!!

So, I've been to the Specialist... and I'm Special!!

I am a Gene Carrier of Leidon Factor 5 (slightly higher clotting abilities) and have to take aspirin (apparently low carb diet helps too... not Atkins or anything as crazy as 20g of Carbs, but 120g is best... not sure why though!).

Apparently I didn't ovulate when they tested me, which would be the PCOS. I swear I felt the ovulation though! Explains why it takes so long for me to fall Pregnant in the first place!

Anyway, Low GI helps the PCOS and Insulin Resistance, the lower carbs I am already taking (which luckily is under 120g) helps the first two and the Leidon Factor 5. The weightless from the Low GI, Carbs etc will help with the Ovulation, PCOS, Insulin Resistance and Leidon!

Apart from Metaform they can't help me... but Low GI will help just as well as the drugs, and getting the drugs means more tests... so I said (and they agreed) that I would wait and IF I had to come back after another miscarriage, then I would consider that treatment.

I have a 30% chance of not miscarrying next time! :)

Geez you add in all the other health problems I have (and it's a long list) it makes me glad i'm not a horse! I'd be put down!

Well I am looking on the bright side, when I mentioned I had started GI he looked really happy and said that would be one of my best options. :T

Forgot to add... he was really impressed with the fact that I had lost 6 stone too... even asked how I did it, and was impressed that I don't diet, but do things sensibly :D
We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy!
