I'm over budget for this month - £8.77 overspend but shouldn't need anything else (famous last words ). Oh well.
£778.77 spent so far this year (£110/month for food/cleaning and basic toiletries for 1). I massively overspent last month so this one was quite a frugal month. July to date - I have spent £63.43 so I'm quite happy with this!
I may just have bought a bit too much fruit though... I now have...
15 pears
2 red grapefruit
6 sm bananas
5 sm peaches
5 nectarines
11 sm plums
500g punnet of grapes
:eek::eek::eek: I know I love my fruit but I think I've overdone it just a bit  :rotfl: I also have ~4kg of potatoes  and I live alone! :rotfl:
Must remember to visit MrS before buying loads of Ald! super6 next time as I just can't resist a woopsie buy! 29p for 6 pears (reduced from £1.99), 49p for the plums (reduced from £2.99 ) and peaches also 49p, 2.5kg spuds 25p on top of half of ald! super 6 = loads of fruit/veg!
Menu for the week = spud, fruit, spud, fruit, spud... I think! :rotfl:Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

Mrs M. so pleased to hear your news:j
Please can I declare at £291.49 for July. Please can you put me down for £300 for August. Thank you0 -
Just wanted to let you all know the Tesco Value curry sauce is no longer 7p it's gone down to 4p.£370/£300 April challenge :T:T0

OK...I think I have a Baldrick! I'm going to say £220 per month on average, to give me a total of £1100 from 1 Aug - 31 Dec 09 please MrsMc.
I've looked at online shopping but tend to run out of different things at different times, plus we're used to getting a fancy for something particular--main-meal wise--on the day so my next stop is a really good menu plan.
On the bright side, my pantry is spread all over the kitchen  in large plastic boxes & I've already got a leg of lamb & box of chox for :xmastree:Full time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

Hi,
I'm declaring for July as a complete and utter failure - mostly due to taking OH shopping with me - never again! A £30 shop came in at £65!
Never mind -will try harder!
Mrs M - please put me down for £170 for August (4 week month for me) and I'll do my best to stick to it.
August is a very expensive month for me with new car insurance, new laptop, 2 visits to family in Wales and OHs birthday so we have to stick to the budget!
Oh well, fingers crossed!0 -

They used to sell this in my nearest Tesco, but cant find it anymore. Nor in the Brackley shop!. I used to get it for the children/grandchildren. I like it for speed too. Alas I only have one tin left! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
