Hi folks,
Just updating to say that I am declaring at £75.07 for April - so just 7p over target. This is completely due to the Twix that I threw on the conveyor belt in Asda this afternoon while checking out.
My May GC will start on Friday 1 May, again at £75.
I shall look on the bright side. March came in at 31p under target, even though I wasn't posting here then.
All the best.

Hello Everyone
Well my 1st attempt did not go well. I have rechecked my budget & after following the spends for April I going to include a few more things in my budget - petrol, & mobile top ups. With that in mind Mrs M can you put me down in MAY for £400.00 (yikes):hello:SadSadJenJen

Hi all,
Hows everyone? Hope you have all had a good weekend.
Well today i had a hangover courtesy of the off wine i had yesterday,. Never again am i or OH buying a box of wine, read the back said its supposed to stay fresh once opened. Well dont you believe it doesn't. But i thought no i'm buyng fresh i'll the dodgy stuff, daft as a brush i know.
Anyway, back on track, managed to persuade OH to not buy anymore shopping, only milk, fruit, for while and we have agreed to only eat the food in the freezer, fridge and cupboards for the next weeks at least. Doubt it will happen, but they ya go.
Came back from MIL yesterday with a bag full of organic rhubarb, yummy yum yum. So going to freeze that. Was going to buy some till i saw the price, my god its so expensive for a couple of thin twigs of it.
So meal plan so far:- evening meals 27-3rd May
m) corned beef pie and veg
t) HM soup and bread
w) curry, bombay potatoes and rice
t) pasta, cheese and bacon sauce
f) stir fry and noodles
s) liver and mash
s) HM fishcakes and HM potato wedges
Well off to update signature bye for now!0 -
Just a small spend on more milk (always …). Just popped to the local shop. MrT with DD in tow would be too much of a risk, and there wasn’t really anything else that wouldn’t wait after the main shop on Thursday. And anyway the milk is actually cheaper at the local shop than the regular stuff in MrT!
Have now managed to reconstruct the grocery spreadsheet & store cupboard & freezer inventories from the paperwork, after the computer crash. So I am feeling a little bit relieved about that, I like to know exactly where I stand!0 -
I forgot to say my target is for two adults, one who doesn't eat veg or fruit  and a nearly one-year old who's breastfed and in cloth nappies so (theoretically) shouldn't cost that much! :rotfl:
Not the best of starts, £44.67 spent already.
I did buy a lot of snacks at Mr. M for DS. I need to get some good recipes for snacks suitable for 1 year olds, before Organix get all my money!A penny saved is a penny earned.

May will be my first grocery challenge so can you put me down for £250 please. This is for 2 adults and 1 child - pre teen so more like 3 adults!! My grocery budget is going to be covering all food and household stuff including toiletries. Cupboards are relatively full with staples so in theory................! fingers crossed!!Sept GC £131/£3000

I stocked up on loo rolls from Waitrose yesterday. For just 99p a pack they are called Regina and are the camomile one. Truly lush! The best ever! So I emptied the shelf and will be back for more next week!
Ive not found that any cash n carry beats bargains like this so its a case of fill up my trolley when I see it and I never run low. I am constructing a tower in the bathroom at this price! A far better savings venture(100% interest) than any savings account or investment! Well that is my excuse for being rather eccentric.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -
I am so confused...why is it may already??August grocery challenge: £50
Spent so far: £37.40 :A0
