Well one week in for me & did the week 2 (of 6!) shop today & came in at £14.45. Mostly bits for pack-ups, as if I keep them in DD tends to just eat them & including fresh fruit, which is nicer if it is bought regularly.
And more milk, as always. More butter – I had bought 500g last Thursday but after making pates for pack-ups & DD making a huge chocolate cake, there wasn’t much left (Mr T have Countrylife @ £1.60 for 2 until 30th, which is less than value). And DD’s favourite fruity mouthwash, as she won’t use a minty one – they didn’t have this in last week.
Also a whole chicken (1.4kg) for £2, which is a current offer in Mr T. Not particularly happy, but at least British ‘red tractor’. :oThat’ll do us 2 (at least) 2 dinners, cold cuts for lunches & stock for soup.0 -
I decided to scoure the local supermarkets today, for whoopsies to put in my freezer. I hear so much about others purchases I thought I would have a really good look. I couldnt get anything like the offers I have seen around but at least I have started to stock up. I spent £38 today. There was a few things that were not on whoopsie that I had needed, like onions, carrots and blackcurrent squash. However I am pleased. I got several loaves of bread at 19p and 20p.
This will come out of my July budget though, as it will be then when we start to eat most of it.
I may up my July budget slightly as I am planning to stock up the freezer as it was empty. Before I loose the tax credits at the end of August.
Give me a little lea way into a reduced income. (Again). When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Hey all
Haven't posted for a couple of weeks, was doing pretty well. However ..... (there's always a but) H2B came back from work, after 4 months away and it all went a bit wrong. we have been little piggies.
So have well and truly failed and i'm gutted. we are in negotiations for selling our house at the moment so need to get back on track as going to be paying out a fair bit shortly. so need to be sensible for next couple of months at least.
Declaring on..... failed for June, will do some number crunching on payday and set a budget for July in next few days.
Well done to everyone who is under budget. :TSPC 18 Target £200 /0 -
off to Tesco to do my last shop for June this morning , then I will tot it all up and declare later.
want to try and shave a bit off this total for next month0 -
Morning everyone - I've logged on to declare £335.46 for June, I'm upset by how much I've gone over, this has been the worst month since I started. The only thing I can say is that because my month runs from 27th to 26th I caught Half Term week, we've had 2 Birthday's this month, 2 family BBQ's, Father's Day etc etc and I just couldn't keep up.:o
As I said in an earlier post this week too, my Daughters are eating more and more as they are now 13 and 11 and I'm not going to deny them anything on the Food front.
My GC also includes all Toiletries, cleaning stuff, Dinner money etc etc so it is getting harder. At least things are starting to grow in the Garden so that will ease the pressure on salads etc in the Summer Months.
Anyway, MRSMC - please put me down for £250 for July and I'll see how it goes.
Sorry for the long waffly post but I just wanted to get this typed up so that I felt better in my head.:o
Have a good day everyone.:D"WASTE NOT, WANT NOT!"GC for OH, myself, DD18 & DD16 includes Toiletries, cleaning stuff & Food.

Doing ok so far this month, mind you we run to the 14th July, so we had better have some money left lol!
Did a medium ish shop in Tesco on Tue, getting a few bits we had run out of.
Still trying to use up freezer supplies and also cupboard stock as plan to bring some stuff back from South (Augs).....I love Asda food so will be bringing some stuff from there, some to be frozen and some for my 'under stair pantry'!
Hope all are well, sunny here today, which makes the place very nice!
X OS
ETA also just spent £10 in Lidl, mainly FV and also some croissants for a nice brekkie for tomorrow and rolls for tomorrows dinner too. Will need bread at beginning of next week but cannot think anything else (although still to finalise a meal plan!).Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.
