I'm declaring £203.63 against £200, so not too bad and I have stocked up on the boys Peach & barley squash which has been on offer in Mr T so would really have been under.
Mrs Mc could you please give me a target of £200 again for December as I have vouchers to use for all of the Christmas bits.:T

Can I declare November at £277.74 please, just under budget for second month running which means December target will be £270. Might be tricky though as my mega monthly internet shop from Mr A, came with 2 of most things, as I was v tired when ordering and obviously doubled up!! Should make for a good January though

Oops, I forgot to say that my total to aim for for December is £180.
Thanks!!Continually trying the Grocery Challenge. Gotta keep trying!0 -
I will be declaring my major splodge, coz i managed to completely forget I was challenging and have no idea whats gone on. :rolleyes: In an experimental leap I'm going to aim for £15 a week for December on the premise that I have a freezer and cupboard full of stuff (lord only knows what, but there's stuff), I have a drawer full of Chrimbo goodies and Christmas dinner and Boxing day buffet are almost organised. Can I do it? YES I CAN (a little Bob the builder motivational speech for me there.)Now MARRIED!11/09/100

Hi everyone,
I would like to join the challenge for December and aim for £300. This is for myself, DH and DD and is for groceries and household stuff like cleaning, laundry etc. I have been trying to keep track of my grocery spending for the last two months and I think posting it will make sure I keep track and try and stick to the budget.
Not sure if December is the best month to join, but I don't have to do a big Christmas lunch (MIL is doing the food this year - all I have to do is eat it) and I haven't set too strict a budget to allow for some little extras.
Bring on December!:cheesy::cheesy: Cheese… milk's leap toward immortality :cheesy: :cheesy:Clifton FadimanFeb'11 - GC: £105.89/£125 - NSD: 15:jMar'11 GC: £3.84/£100 - NSD: 00 -
Hiya
Well I have tallied up the damage and considering my budget was for EVERYTHING we spend, we came in at £376.41. Hardships that we experienced this month were that we had no fridge for 3 weeks, and although I used a cooler box, I did have to bin a few things and it meant frequent visits to the s/market. We also didn't have gas for a week, which meant that we had no heating, hot water nor cooker and that meant I used up a lot of my freezer stores, and turned ourselves into jacket potatoes (washing dishes was a major problem). £50 of our spend was also on essential clothes and 2 pressies for birthdays and of course we had a birthdya party for DD who turned 1 earlier in the month. Not great I know, but we did the best we could.0 -
