I'm a grocery challege thread newbie too, but would love to join you for December - am going to set budget at £350 for the four of us and two mogs. Seems high but I'd rather not be too ambitious my first month, it'll spur me on to keep cutting back!
Lots in the freezer & store-cupboard, and me & the slow-cooker are on good terms at the moment, so hopefully will be keeping fingers crossed, eyes peeled...and purse shut!0 -
for anyone who missed Pink's post earlier - December challenge is up folks :j... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

Evening everyone, have just posted on Decembers challenge.
Just wanted to declare the figure of £213.01 for this challenge.
£33.01 over budget but am not too concerned about it. Could have been worse.
Will see you all in the new challenge thread:hello:'Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle'0 -
Just declaring a total of £155 for November - I was pleased with myself for this since it was such a busy month and i'm coming in a bit under. But we don't count takeaways etc out of our GC budget and I'm afraid things went down the pan a bit on that so not really quite as great as I thought
Here's to December...0 -

Declaring £289.31 which includes some stocking up so happy. Will set the next after the weekend, find out what we're doing over Christmas and work the last bits out of my budget which I must admit, I haven't fine tuned yet.One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Well this is the biggie isn't it? I've set my budget and will do my best to keep within it but I think it will be more difficult to stick to my present budget - I always go waaaaayyyy over! The trouble is that we've three teenagers and I'm afraid I made a rod for my own back a long time ago, so now they expect the moon even when I assure them that this Christmas will be much quieter than previously - oh well here goes .....0
