Calling a foreign telephone cheaply?
Any suggestions for a service enabling one to call a telephone in a foreign country (in a region where the internet is not available and where text messaging is blocked)? The block on the internet presumably means WhatsApp would not work. WeChat Out would seem ideal, but it appears not to be available now.

Plusnet poor customer service
I was a client for several years before I was forced to cancel my contract when they could not resolve an issue. They created a "final bill" which was paid by direct debit. I then cancelled my DD. A month later, they created another bill. Then sent me daily threatening messages for late payment. They had charged me an early…

Sky Black Friday deals - Help
I am thinking about moving to Sky on the following deal; Fibre BB, Sky TV with Sky Q and Sky Sports £54 a month for 18 months. The worry I have is the sports pack is on a 50% off deal at £15 a month. It states prices may change at anytime during the 18 month deal. So does this mean that in say 2 or 3 months in, they can…

TV mounts that move vertically?
Hi, I have ordered a TV recently and I am now looking into wall mounts to buy. One of the things that worries me most is that I don't set the height to mount the TV at the optimum level and then I'll have to live with it forever. I was then thinking I can just get a mount that allows the TV to move up and down. However…

Mobile phone supplier now says I will be charged for the repair
I have a fault with my mobile phone so I arranged with the supplier to fix it. On the original call I was informed that it was covered under warranty so there would be no charge, however I would have to provide proof of purchase. I had to contact the supplier to request proof of purchase. The first receipt I sent was…

iPhone7
Everytime I think I have made my decision about a phone, a new question pops up. I am quite unbothered about which phone I have, but my daughter is getting my iPhone5 as her first phone in a couple of months. I think an iPhone7 is quite sufficient for me, but am planning on keeping it a fair while (as I did my iPhone5) and…

End of Contract
Hi I'm coming to the end of my contract with EE, and was looking at getting the new IPhone 12, but here's the issue I have, if I get an upgrade I'm paying more than I would if I just went for an additional line on the old contract and kept both phones. What's stopping me then waiting until the old contract has officially…

My contract comes to an end 6.12.20. I received a letter a few days ago. Explaining my contract will be changed to a O2 rolling contract. Cheap landline without broadband
I'm thinking of moving to fibre to property broadband and so won't need the phoneline and broadband. But as we do sometimes get power cuts I don't want to get rid of the landline. (Mobile reception is not good, so I don't own one.) I was hoping I could find a cheap phone only landline package but it seems this isn't…

Vulnerable individual mis-sold Virgin Media bundle plus huge billing issue
So I'm trying to deal with couple of issues here for a vulnerable retired family member in their 80's. In August they phoned up to cancel their package as it was costing far more than they needed. Now they've come to me and from what I can tell they were sweet talked into taking out a more expensive package which had an…
