End of Contract
Hi I'm coming to the end of my contract with EE, and was looking at getting the new IPhone 12, but here's the issue I have, if I get an upgrade I'm paying more than I would if I just went for an additional line on the old contract and kept both phones. What's stopping me then waiting until the old contract has officially…

End of O2 contract
My contract comes to an end 6.12.20. I received a letter a few days ago. Explaining my contract will be changed to a O2 rolling contract. (at a rip off cost of course) Normally I believe I need 30 days to cancel? Does that mean if I put a switch in tomorrow via Pac code. Will get charged an extra month if I set up to…

Cheap landline without broadband
I'm thinking of moving to fibre to property broadband and so won't need the phoneline and broadband. But as we do sometimes get power cuts I don't want to get rid of the landline. (Mobile reception is not good, so I don't own one.) I was hoping I could find a cheap phone only landline package but it seems this isn't…

Vulnerable individual mis-sold Virgin Media bundle plus huge billing issue
So I'm trying to deal with couple of issues here for a vulnerable retired family member in their 80's. In August they phoned up to cancel their package as it was costing far more than they needed. Now they've come to me and from what I can tell they were sweet talked into taking out a more expensive package which had an…

Catch-Up becoming unusable
Having just bought a new PVR to replace the old one which broke, I now find I'm having to separately register for each catch-up like iPlayer, itvHub and so on. It's aggravating enough to go through the rigmarole to register : you have to give intrusive information (I just lie and tell them rubbish - why on earth do they…

Cannot go ex-directory
I've changed landline/broadband suppliers many times and have always been ex-directory. Since joining Vodafone broadband in early September, my details have been included in the BT directory and via directory enquiries. I specified when ordering that I wanted to be ex-directory, and also checked with Vodafone's customer…

Any way round paying off BT for remainder of contract?
Just called BT as I'm moving in a couple of weeks. I was buying a place, but that has fallen through, so now staying with a friend for a while. She has Broadband service so was planning to use hers until I find another place. Previous discussions with BT were around moving the service to my new house, but in my new…

Letter from Bw Legal re Talk Talk Debt
I've received a letter from BW Legal in relation to a debt to TalkTalk in 2011. They are threatening a CCJ. There are lots of threads in relation to BW Legal and parking fines but can't find any threads for TalkTalk debt. I believe they have sent the letter to the wrong person as it is not my debt - what should I do?…

Sky Protect
Reckon that the number of people taking up Sky Q ("free" maintenance) must be starting to bite with "Sky Protect" (aka D & G ). I've had 2 phone calls since Friday, plus a letter this am, all assuring me that my Sky warranty has come to an end (on a 3.5 yr old HD box -I DON'T THINK SO:rotfl:) Don't know if its a new thing…

NowTV broadband and calls
I signed up earlier this year for NowTV broadband and calls and I pay extra per month for anytime calls. I looked at my bill for this month and discovered that some calls were being charged as extras. On investigation, it appears that NowTV consider 0845 and 0870 as premium and charge 15 pence per minute. Whichever phone…

NowTV white boxes no longer compatible
I was horrified this weekend when went to use my white NowTV box to receive the message “no longer compatible”. Has anyone else had this problem?…

TV License for granny annex
Our family house has two entrances, we ourselves call it number eg 60A. Now it's not officially separate, it's not listed on anything as a separate dwelling. It has no separate gas, electric water etc. It's sort of like a granny annex. It's a semi, the garage has a room in it. For postal letters we just gave it a…
