PlusNet Broadband & Phone contract renewal options
I've just received notification from PlusNet that my broadband-plus-phone contract is coming to an end. It appears I have two and only two options:-: 1. go Fibre, and lose the household phone number that I've had for 48 years. 2. renew my current Unlimited contract (for up to 24 months) and keep my phone number "for now".…

Ability to make emergency calls
Hello everyone. I've just moved to a house with very poor mobile signal and so it is important to get a reliable line for emergency calls should they ever be necessary. There is a BT master socket in the house, but can I just get a line for emergency calls without having to pay for an otherwise unused line? Thanks.

TV with Freeview and Sky+HD
My faithful 23 year old TV has finally given up and I’ve been given a TV with Freeview built in. I don’t have an aerial, only a Sky +HG box. I can’t get the TV to tune in at all. Is it possible to use the TV without having an aerial via the Sky box?

BT disconnect
Mother in Law died in June and am trying to get the line disconnected and the account wound up. Have rung BT up 5 times now to get it disconnected with promises every time that it would be sorted but despite a voice message on my mobile 2 days ago to say it's disconnected it still isn't, nor have we received the final bill…

New Virgin Media terms - will you be cancelling your contract?
Virgin Media are changing their terms soon so that you can’t cancel if they change their prices mid contract. Details: We usually change our prices each year – writing to let you know how much they’re going up and giving you the chance to cancel. From April 2024, we’re doing things differently, so any price rise to your…

Renewal contract dispute with Sky TV
I wanted to make people aware of a situation that I am currently stuck in, plus see if anyone has any further ideas on how to resolve this. I have used Sky for many years but prices have risen sharply recently to a point that I decided to cancel Sky in June when my contract came to an end. I gave the months notice and they…

Sky Router and Sky Test using App
Am I missing something here. Being at home more now, I notice that the sky router is increasingly unreliable. We lose internet access and TV service numerous times every day. I basically use mobile internet at home even though I am working just a few feet from my router. When I call Sky they “tested” the line and told us…

Beware of Phantom Call Charges
I had 3 of these on my last bill, one for speaking clock, a ringback charge, and a call to a local Indian restaurant, all within the space of one hour which I contested. BT refunded these charges which were minor, but without admitting responsibility. I wanted to record that my phone was being billed for calls I'd never…

Virgin media 02 charge
Hi I pay a monthly direct debit for my virgin media. I also pay a separate charge for 02 phone of £33 which I don't use or don't want but am told by Virgin Media that it's a non negotiable part of the contract. I know someone with Virgin Media who doesn't pay it. This seems like an unfair term to me but I could be wrong.…
