Just dodged a SKY Mobile bullet
Sky might be wondering why a number of people did not complete the Sky mobile £59p a month deal (£1 a month with a £5 voucher in 4 months if no complications). As far as I am concerned this whole deal is just a data grab, first you have GiftCloud who want you to opt-in but they did not pre-tick, so all good there. Then on…

3 Roaming
MSE advertises you can roam like at home and use your data allowance abroad which you can't as all bundles have set limits for roaming data allowance

Lebara Community
My mobile phone contract is with Lebara. A while ago there was a Lebara Community page where one could ask questions, make suggestions, etc, though it wasn't much used compared with other forums. For about the last week, attempting to access this produced a message that there were technical difficulties. For the past…

RWG's New Website, Plans and new Charges
RWG's new site has been up for a few days now and several of us have been having a few issues with a variety of things, so I thought it a good idea to start a new thread rather than have spurious comments spread over two other RWG threads. Logging in was my first problem. Although it obviously recognised my email address…

Anyone still on the completely free RWG plan?
I've been on the free (50/50/250mb) RWG plan for 5 years, but over the last year the service has become progressively more flaky, with incoming and outgoing connections failing regularly. I found myself unable to reply to a text last night so checked my allowance only to be told I have no allowances. Previous "chargeable'…

Mobile Coverage Maps Are Lying About City Centres
Across the UK, mobile coverage maps (including the MSE checker using Ofcom data) often show excellent coverage in city centres. Phones back this up by displaying strong 4G/5G signal — so everything appears fine. The real issue is congestion. In busy areas, mobile data can become effectively unusable even though the signal…

Signal strength
Hi, Just been comparing sim only deals and included the signal checker in the results. My best signal is with EE but Vodafone gets 3 bars and 3 gets 2 bars. As Vodafone and 3 have merged and now share masts, surely the signal should be the same on both?

Lebara sim re keeping my number
Hi. I got the 35g Lebara sim through MSE sometime last year. The cost went up last month. I was wondering if I get it again can I get the pac number from lebara for the new sim even though im staying with Lebara. I know you can for a different network but does it work the same if I'm staying with lebara but just changing…

Warning about Lebara and Google phones!
Signed up for one of the deals here on MSE but can’t get 5g. Phone is 5g compatible and works fine on 5g with Vodafone sim, but won’t work with Lebara, which uses Vodafone’s network. Lebara customer service says there is no 5g in our area!. Tried to explain there is no 5g anywhere with their sim. They are looking into it,…

Worth buying an iPhone 15 pro on sale now or wait until 18 is released for a price drop?
Im looking at a refurbished iPhone 15 pro from the Apple store. Currently there is a price drop of £130. RRP £1019, they are normally listed with a £130 reduction but are currently listed with a £260 reduction. Im wondering if I should get this to make use of the extra £130 reduction or wait 5 weeks until the iPhone 18 is…

Lebara showing EE
We've been on Lebara for a couple of years now, no issues. It always shows Vodafone UK in the top left corner of my Android (OnePlus) phone, but today, for about an hour, it was showing EE and then it went back to Voda! Has anyone else had this?

Lebara 50% discount disappoints!
I'm with Lebara month by month renewal. Five years of loyalty. I've recently been a very low user, due to buying a rival SIM deal, and was considering leaving Lebara. Suddenly Lebara gave me extra free data that I don't use. Next I got an SMS of an exclusive offer to "enjoy 50% off for 3 months…no need to do…

eSims for Cruise
We are heading on a cruise to Norway from Southampton next month and have opted against the Wi-Fi cruise packages that were on offer but looking into eSims. Some reviews say not to use them when at sea, some say do. Found some companies that do them but all seem to be priced in $. Any advice?

At a loss - what do I need to look for?
My feature phone died and new one didn't work out. So I want to get a smartphone. All it needs to do is enable voice calls, texts, and WhatsAp (as all my friends seem to live on that now). And a PAYG sim would be fine. I really have no idea what to look for if I go into a phone shop or look online. (Online Curry's doesn't…

O2 phone payment showing as concentrix, is this correct?
I just approved via text a payment which matches what I paid to O2 for a new phone, but after approving it, I looked deeper at the text and it isnt to O2 but instead to "CONCENTRIX NEW CONNEC" Does anyone here know this is normal or not for payments to O2?

Lebera - happy so far!!
Ref an earlier thread regarding EE wanting to double my monthly "pay as you go" mobile service. (I was with Plusnet paying £6 a month, EE wanted £12.50, with annual increases). A month in with Lebara and everything has been fine. Even a trip to Europe with no roaming charges, (just use your normal data allowance, EE charge…

Revolut Mobile esims
A cautionary tale of roaming using Revolut Mobile esim. Having seen the discounted offer for Revolut Mobile esim I thought I would give it a try. It was £12.50 for unlimited calls, unlimited SMS and roaming in the EU. Included was also the USA and the channel Island and the Isle of Man which can require additional cost on…

Lebara 'Refer and Earn' appears to be a SCAM.
I used Lebara's 'Refer and Earn' special link to refer a friend who used my the link to migrate to Lebara last APRIL. Followed all t&c's carefully. I got no reward, called to complain. Lebara confirms my friend used to link to open a new account but refused my reward claiming their own website does not show the…
