Tesco Mobile pay-as-you-go customer? Be prepared: it may push you to buy a bundle
Tesco Mobile is pushing its pay-as-you-go (PAYG) users to move to its new bundles. Failure to do so means paying for Tesco Mobile's standard PAYG rates, which it's hiked by up to 213%. If you're one of the 1.4 million users affected, it's worth looking at switching to a cheap monthly Sim instead – unless you just keep your…

EE are moving existing "CPI" customers over to pounds and pence
Just an FYI, as I can't see a discussion on this - EE are moving existing customers over to their fixed amount rises. I've just had an email through myself. Long time monthly plan, way out of minimal term so I presume they can do what they want. Currently paying EE £10.50 a month for a simple service with CPI+3.9 (i think)…

O2 Classic 123 (activated in Nov 22) deactivated after no regular top up
Posting as an FYI, as O2 Classic 123 SIM cards are (or possibly now were) often recommended as an option for very low usage mobiles. Although they haven't been available from O2 for quite a while, a number of third party market place resellers sell these. Previously the credit didn't expire, so one £10 top could last…

Tesco mobile taking money from an account that doesn’t exist!!
Account was closed in June 2024, this has been confirmed by customer services on the phone and in Tesco store and by a ‘sorry you’re leaving’ email. I have no active accounts. Money has been taken DD every month since. I was advised to cancel my DD at the bank as the account doesn’t exist. I’ve cancelled the DD. I’ve now…

Unlock iPhone 6
Anyone have experience or advice on unlocking an iPhone 6 which is currently tied to the Vodaphone network. Currently using an O2 PAYG Classic sim on an old Nokia but they have sent me a message that they are turing off 2g & 3g so need to find a 4g alternative. As I already have this old iPhone 6 laying around thought I…

Suddenly no signal. Can I get out of contract?
I joined ID mobile in July. At my workplace I had good service and no problems. At the end of November 3G in this area was removed. Since that time I have had no network on my phone at all. I just have the satellite sign. The coverage checker suggests that I have 4G/5G in this area, but about a mile before my place of work…

Going sim only o2
My wife plans to pay the handset off and go sim only. It says you can pay the plan off and the airtime unlinks can it be switched to sim only via the app or would it actually have to be cancelled?

MSE - Sky Mobile - prices increasing by £3 from February 2026 - Lebara best alternative?
I've been with Sky Mobile for over 5 years - the first 3 were mandatory as part of a handset deal - the others I negotiated for 12-month discounts In mid-2025 my 2 GB sim-only deal was discounted from £6 to £4.80 for a year I received a letter today that the price would go up by £3 to £9 - but was offered first a 25%…

Tesco Mobile - 3G shutoff and 4G (LTE) phones are still compatible
I have a question regarding the 3G shutdown and Tesco Mobile.
I have a Samsung Galaxy A10 Phone (purchased through TM). I went to the Tesco Mobile website page
support.tescomobile.com/customer/voltecalling just to double check whether my
phone will still be compatible with the TM network when the 3G signal is
shutdown. On…

I want a cheap Sim only contract for emergency second phone.
I work regular 12hr nights. I usually turn off my 'phone when I am in bed and if anyone really needs me they ring on the landline. The problem is, after changing broadband provider we don't have a landline. I want a sim only deal that I can use in my old mobile so my family can get in touch if need be. I want one that…

Motorola edge 70 promotion Bundle
On 22/12/25 I bought a Motorola Edge 70 as part of 2 year contract with I.D mobile. A lot of what attracted me to the deal was the bundle that you needed to claim after a 15 day cooling of period. The bundle was said to be worth £ 278 included a charger, smart watch, ear buds & tracker offered by Motorola. After the…

Signal booster
The signal to inside my house is abysmal since 3G was switched off. The house is at the base of a 60m high ridge and the nearest mast is on top of the ridge, about a mile away. I have to walk into the garden about 20metres to get a decent signal, so the ridge does not impede the signal. Signal boosters are advisable to…

Blocking voice mail from a single number
Hello, I've had to block someone's numbers (landline and mobile) but continue to receive voice mails from them. Is it true I can't stop the voice mails for this one number unless I discontinue to accept voice mails from everyone? i use voice mail to deter spam callers, so this isn't an option. Thanks in advance.

Samsung tab 3 query help
My husband bought me 1st and only present 3 years ago samsung tab 3. Beautiful, so lush, from CEX worked great but then was soooo slow, I followed YouTube video to speed it up. Then was like it was wiped, couldn't set up play store, email nothing, then charge took longer, 2 percent over night then died. Had in drawer for…

Lebara nightmare: number not working for over 2 months
I'd like to share my experience switching to Lebara after seeing their cheap deals being promoted quite heavily on this site. Almost three months ago I switched to Lebara using an MSE-blagged deal. After transferring my old number I found I could no longer make or receive calls and texts unless I was at home and had Wifi…

Mobile Coverage Maps Are Lying About City Centres
Across the UK, mobile coverage maps (including the MSE checker using Ofcom data) often show excellent coverage in city centres. Phones back this up by displaying strong 4G/5G signal — so everything appears fine. The real issue is congestion. In busy areas, mobile data can become effectively unusable even though the signal…
