1p Mobile Boosts
I have a recurring boost of 4GB for £6 a month.
There is now a boost of 5GB for £5 a month.
I don't see anything on their boost webpage about changing to another boost. Do they make it difficult to do this?
What would be the best way to make the change without paying for two boosts at the same time?
Also, when I started with 1p Mobile I couldn't use a standing order to pay for the service. Has this restriction been removed now?

Switch off auto-recurring on your current boost and wait for it to expire.
Then start the new boost you want.
I don't think you can pay by standing order, my credit card just gets billed every month.

It is quite awkward making changes at 1p, it would be useful if they had a mobile app. From memory I did the same as alanwsg suggests, but it is many months since I changed the boost here.

I switched OFF the Turn on auto-Boost. box, but it still said:
We will automatically add this Boost to your SIM every 30-days
I would have thought that after turning this off, I would be able to choose a different boost every 30 days.

Sometimes the 'boosts' screen takes a while (Maybe an hour) to update, look again later.
BTW, I see a 5Gb data-only boost for £4.50 now, the offers available do change quite often.

I buy the boost for calls/text/data, and so the £5 for 5GB is the one suitable for me.
I've been waiting a few hours now for the text they said would come when the boost had been applied.
Would it be appropriate to manually buy a calls/text/data boost every 30 days.
This would cater for better offers becoming available (but sometimes the cost may increase?).

Hmm - if you buy a boost manually every month, the bigger risk is that the offer you want disappears.
I also buy a £5 boost for 5Gb+free calls&texts, but I don't see that offer on my boosts page anymore - the cheapest I see is £8 for 10Gb+calls&texts. But I still get the £5 boost via the auto-recurring system.

I never got the promised text about the boost starting, but when I login I see:
5GB (5GB plus unlimited UK calls and texts) started on 04 Nov 2026 - will end on 04 Dec 2026
You have 9,216MB (9.00GB) remaining from the 5,120MB (5.00GB) of the active data Boost
The 9GB figure is confusing - as though the 4GB from the previous boost had been carried forward??
I'm confused about what the
Turn on auto-Boostbox does.Is this just to renew the boost every 30 days, or does it also give authority to take a payment every 30 days? Can you have the boost renew every 30 days, without payment being automatically taken?

You have 9,216MB (9.00GB) remaining from the 5,120MB (5.00GB) of the active data BoostYeah, it always seems to do that, even on auto-renew. It seems to add the new 5Gb on before removing what's left from the previous boost. It'll sort itself out next day.

If there's enough money in it, it'll take that. Otherwise it'll take payment from your card.

I've never used the website very much, and this is probably the first time in a year I've looked at it. And I've seen a number of anomalies in just a short period. I left the website open in a tab and when I came back maybe an hour later, the page had changed. It had become a Bundles page with the £5 5GB offer! When I went through the menu system, I couldn't find the Bundles page - how do you navigate to it?
I've just had another look at the already open website, and the page has again changed to a Bundles page!! I took a copy of the web address -
What is the difference between Bundles and Boosts?

What is the difference between Bundles and Boosts?Don't know, not seen that page before. Maybe you don't see it if you're logged-in.
