1p Mobile Boosts

I posted the link in case anyone wanted the £5 5GB offer in the future.
I also looked up the commitment period, and was surprised that it depended on when you started with 1p Mobile:'Commitment Period' means the agreed time scale in which you have to spend a minimum amount of credit on calls, texts, data or Boosts.
For customers who joined from 1 August 2026, the requirement is to spend/use at least £10 every 90-days.
For customers who joined between 15 October 2025 and 31 July 2026, the requirement is to spend/use at least £10 every 120-days.
For customers who joined before 15 October 2025, the requirement is to spend/use at least £10 every 60-days.0 -
I think the spend/use requirements only apply if you don't have an auto-recuring boost.
My previous boost was £4 for 2Gb which wouldn't meet the £10 every 60-days requirement, but I never got charged to make up the minimum. (Others without auto-recuring boost did, there are threads on this forum about it).

"What is the difference between Bundles and Boosts?"
As of now - none. They use it interchangeably.
They used to have data only packs that could boost the data allowance on a standard bundle, by running alongside it, but those appear to have gone now with only the standard bundles (including unlimited calls and texts) available.

Currently there appears to be a £5 5GB Bundle, but no such Boost!

Well yes, the £5 5GB you refer to is considered both a bundle and a boost, dealers choice as to what you call it.
The data only packs, for boosting data allowances, don't appear to exist anymore.

There is a £5 5GB Bundle on their webpage , and it says Existing customers can add these in their online account.
But when in my account there is no such Boost as £5 5GB

They seem to be giving different customers different options.
On mine the data only boosts are still there, I can still get 5GB both as data only (£4.50) and inc calls/texts (£5). But they've removed the lower boosts ie under 5GB.

You don't need an auto-recurring boost, I've never had an auto recurring boost. When I buy, the "auto recurring" box is pre ticked, I always untick it. When the boost expires, the 60 day timer restarts from that date so you have another 2 months before you get the "commitment" charge.
If I'm coming up to that date and I've only spent £5 or so, I'll always buy a boost just before otherwise they'll charge me £5 for nothing, I may as well get a boost even if I'm not going to use it and it stops the timer, which restarts when the boost expires.
So you could buy one boost every ~3 months and keep the service for about £20 a year!

I'm beginning to think that Bundles are just for new customers and not for existing customers, despite their claim.

That's an interesting insight. IIUC, you buy a months of service, then nothing for two months. So that would be useful as a second phone.
