Nothing phones
Does anyone have any experience of this phone company? I've used Motorola devices for years, but their security updates aren't great. I'm trying to decide between buying Moto g77 and nothing phone 3a lite on Argos - both on offer. 3a looks interesting and security updates until Oct 2031 compared to Jun 2030 for the g77.…

Buying a refurbished phone
I am looking at buying a refurbished phone listed as 'very good condition' (This product is in very good cosmetic condition with only light signs of use. It has been fully tested and works perfectly.) I have read the guide about buying refurbished phones and would like to know, what to look for regarding warranty, etc ? as…

Samsung A16 - Easy Mode
I am trying to find a suitable smart phone for a cousin in his mid 80s to replace his old dumbphone which has died. He only needs to make and receive calls and texts, check emails and when he gets used to it I expect he will try a bit of browsing (weather forecasts, touring caravan sites, places to visit whilst on holiday…

budget phone
I don't know much about phones. I've had a Moto e6s for several years, but the battery now runs down quickly, so I need a replacement. I don't use it much, so I'm on PAYG. Mostly I receive calls, texts and emails, but sometimes I also make calls and texts. Occasionally I use web access when away from home. I almost never…

Overuse of smartphones
Ten plus years ago, I was concerned about the overuse of smartphones; it must be really difficult for todays parents. I considered some sort of blocking device, as I could not ban the mobile itself because I lived apart from my daughters mother. I understand signal blockers are banned, but how do people cope today?

Jersey anyone?
I’m have a rolling £5.99 p.m. SIM only deal with Lycamobile, payable by DD. Lyca piggy back on EE of course. We’ve just had a break in Jersey. When we landed, my iPhone changed from ‘Lycamobile’ to ‘Sure’ network in the top left corner. However, throughout the whole 5 nights I was unable to make or receive any calls.…

Lebara Data Munching
Having had mobile phones since the 90s I've always been aware of usage. Have just moved to Lebara and my usage for 3 hours, doing online SuDoku, was 200Meg of data. I was previously on Tesco and that would be about 3 weeks data. The phone is flooded with Vodaphone Ads too, whilst it's cheap it may be a false economy as I…

Does an affordable phone running android with a screen size below 6" exist?
Does an affordable phone running android with a screen size below 6" exist? Say under £500. Does everything a normal phone does: apps, internet, camera, plays audio and video, etc. Genuinly small phone size. From a normal company: Not from some weird dodgy company.

Vodafone PAYG credit refund?
On Monday (day before yesterday) I ported my Vodafone payg mobile number over to another provider. Yesterday I "chatted" online to a Vodafone agent in order to claim a refund of the unused payg credit, which one can do up to 60 days after porting out. The agent gave me a refund reference number, and said the refund would…

Cheap smartphone required
Where do I start looking for a cheap smartphone, probably second-hand, of some type or a cheap Chinese one? My old 2g phone is going to be turned off soon so looks like I need to move to a 4g/5g phone of some variety. Know virtually nothing about mobile phones and what facilities I should/shouldn't be looking for. Only…

Cancelling Vodaphone Contract - Nightmare!
On 02/12/2025, I tried to cancel my 12 month Vodaphone contract, which was up that month (I never used it as I discovered couldn't get a Vodaphone signal at my house). I had a long conversation with a bot, which eventually agreed that my contract would terminate the following month as it was too late to cancel in December.…

Smarty SIM - on '3' - very poor download speeds.
Trying to set up a temporary 4G router for daughter as she stays in a relative's house for an undetermined period. Got a cheap BT mini-Halo 4G router, and she bought a data-loaded SIM from Smarty. Download speeds were in the order of 2.5Mbps, which was useless for pretty much everything. I assumed it was an issue with the…

Vodafone buys out Three, taking 100% of Vodafone Three
According to the Financial Times, Vodafone is buying out Three's 49% of Vodafone Three for £4bn. A clause in the contract gave them the right to do this after 3 years, so I don't know why they have gone early. Apparently, nothing will change. But there are already rumours of 3 staff leaving head office.
