TrueCall White Standalone Unit

I've used the "mobile" category because I couldn't find a "landline phone".

Has anyone used the Truecall standalone call blocker? https://www.truecall.co.uk/shop/truecall-call-blocker

From what I can see, numbers are added to the Truecall by pressing * or through the Internet Control Panel (ICP). If the ICP is used then they may be given a name, and according to the documentation:

You can add numbers to your Zap & Star list at your Internet Control Panel (page 19) either individually or imported from your contact management software. You can also add the caller’s name which will then be displayed on your phone when they call.

This sounds great, you get to see the callers name (and possibly number).

The landline handset will also contain the names and numbers of friends. This would be useful when making calls.

If the number has a name on Truecall and a name on the handset then which is displayed for incoming calls?

My parents have used a BT8600 with Truecall built into it for many years. However, the ability to access the ICP would allow me to manage their white list (star list) remotely.

I've seen the recent reviews that say the company is a shadow of its former self.

Used them for several years and was very happy. However binned them a few years ago when we moved to full fibre and decided to give up the landline.
