Is there a way to get round the Lebara deal for new customers only?
Asking on behalf of my mum, 81, who got confused has ended up paying more than she anticipated.
I told my mum about the Lebara deal through MSN but she went and bought a SIM card for £1 and, with help, set up an account & ported in her old number and the cheapest PAYG plan she can get is £5 for 5G of data. She needs more data than this.
I have spoken to Lebara on her behalf but they will not budge.
Anyway, is there a way around this to get the better deal AND keep her mobile number?

Port away to another network for a short period and then port back to lebara

That might work, unfortunately lebara have tightened up on 'new customers', she'd probably need to create a new account with a different email address and even then porting a previously used number back.might lose the new customer discount. You can't be any worse off though, other than the cost of a donor sim.
