O2 puffl50 sim cut off by O2
I am in dispute with O2 over the fact they cut off my sim without warning and say they cannot reconnect it, even with a new number. I had gone to the ombudsman, but O2 will not agree to their proposal which is to reconnect. O2 have admitted through their own dispute resolution process that an error was made, but after…

Help finding new phone
Dinosaur sibling has Sony Expedia z1 compact on its last legs. Looking for something not too much bigger, happy to look at refurbs, fancy camera not needed, doesn’t want lots of bloat wear, budget £150 if possible. Really just wants it for calls and surfing. Suggestions please.

Best family network
Hoping for help as I find this all a minefield! My 2 children (young teenagers) and I need new phone contracts. We’re coming to the end of our contract with O2 as I was foolishly tempted by O2 priority however the signal is absolutely dire where we live and surrounding area. We need around 20-30Gb each a month and would…

MSE News: Don't be put off switching to a cheap piggyback mobile network
The secret to slashing mobile costs is switching to a piggyback provider, as they tend to be far cheaper than the four main networks. Many are worried they'll get a worse signal with a smaller firm – but new research reveals only subtle performance differences that generally WON'T be noticeable in everyday tasks, while the…

Cheapest SIM only contract on the market? Sky SIM only 1gb for £1/month
I've been looking out for decent low data SIM only packages and found the Sky Mobile SIM only deal for £1/month for 12 months with unlimited texts and calls. It even comes in cheaper than Lyca, iD, Spusu and Lebara's best deals at the moment. You also get the MySky perks thrown in e.g. free Taste the Difference pizza from…

what are EE talking about?
I've had the text about my plan changing to a rolling monthly one at 50% more but with more data (which I don't need). What I do need is phone calls, texts, some data and free roaming in the EU. Can I find that on the EE website? No. What I have found is these 2 deals. Now 5GB is fine but a bit less than what I have…

Mozillion Data Allowance
We have recently switched to Mozillion from EE on a 100GB SIM only deal. After getting a warning of low data we checked on the account to find that only 2.5 GB of 75GB was remaining! So, it’s possible that 25% of the 100GB is only available for “free” roaming abroad! Awaiting a reply from Mozillion, but atm feel a bit…

Advice regarding moving from Vodafone PAYG to Vodafone Pay Monthly?
Can anyone help me regarding this?....the online form is confusing! When I try to complete the online form it requests the "phone number I want to keep" (easy enough), then it asks for the "temporary pay monthly number I want to replace" but I want to replace a PAYG SIM not a Pay monthly SIM???

WIFI calling when switching sim only provider
My wife and I both have sim only deals and we live in an area where signal is relatively poor. She is with Vodafone and I am with BT Mobile. We both have 3 year old (or thereabouts) Galaxy S10s which we are happy with. My question: if we switch to another Sim only provider (e.g. Smarty or another), does anyone know if WIFI…

Small low cost Android phone?
There is an Android only app that hasn’t an iPhone equivalent. It is an app that I have a use for, particularly when overseas. Anyway, I am considering buying a smallish Android phone just for occasional use. Most recent models seem huge, not the end of the world, but one that fits a shirt pocket would be ideal. While…

Lebara 90 days of inactivity
I don't use the phone so much, and could possibly go 90 days without making a call/sms/data Do Lebara notify before they take the credit balance? I know they sent me an email telling me about the 90 day thing, but that was only about a month after the last chargeable activity and didnt actually say when the 90 days would…

Leaving O2 moving to Lebara
Hi, please can anyone advise. My contract with O2 finishes on the 6th October, do I have to wait until the 7th October to request and apply my PAC code to leave or can I do this today? My monthly payment to O2 is £4.79 which goes out of my bank around the 21st of the month. I just sent a message to 85075 and O2 have said…

MSE ID Mobile Sim-only deal
I'm thinking of signing up for a SIM only pay-monthly deal through MSE for ID mobile. These have a data allowance included but nowhere on either website does it say that this is a data allowance per month. I have been told that it is by ID mobile but it seems strange to me that such a basic fact isn't made explicit…

wifi switching on by itself
A number of times I have found that wifi has been turned on without my knowing. When I look at settings, it says:Wi-Fi doesn't turn back on automatically. Is it being turned on by Android, or the phone manufacturer (Motorola G24), to effect updates, and then not switching wifi off after doing the update?

Mis-selling phones on Amazon
So, following my bad experience buying a Samsung phone intended for the UAE from an Amazon listing specifying a UK spec model, I decided to ask a different seller about a different phone. As you can see from the conversation below, they were quite happy to admit they are mis-selling an "international model" as UK spec, but…
