What are currently the best bang for your buck deals for a data SIM on the EE network. I've got a dual SIM phone so cals will be handled via Giffgaff so I'm just after data only.

    Try Amazon?

I got my son a half price SIM card with 'All you can eat data' for £12.50 from Amazon. It was a Lebara SIM and lasts for 30 days. He has just been on holiday for a week at a holiday park with no Wi-fi. He has been using data every day and his girlfriend logged in her ipad using the hotspot. Not like him to be impressed but he called last night and said the SIM car has been brilliant. No contract or registration was required. Just insert the SIM into his phone and it worked instantly.

His mobile plan is an eSIM so he can still use his original number on his main contract with the temporary Lebara SIM inserted.

Have a look on Amazon - there may be some SIMS that are on EE network ?

Just looked on my Amazon account - this is the one I purchased. Looking at the bottom there is a suggested alternative EE unlimited data SIM that is £218 that gives unlimited data up to 8th October 2027 - that works out at less than £15 per month.

Do you know how much data you want/need?

£15pm for unlimited isn't terrible if you ned "unlimited" but MSE's deals finder is currently suggesting Spusu offer 60GB for ~£8pm.

And does it have to be EE? You can get 50GB for ~£3 a month via TalkMobile (Vodafone) or iD Mobile (Three).

How much data does the OP need?

Are data only SIM cards faster or more reliable than mixed SIM cards?

If not, there are some general sim only tariffs with high data allowances included which might be worth considering.

I probably only "need" around 5gb (maybe 10gb on a busy month) and it has to be on the EE network as the signal for others is very patchy around where I live and work. Basically I'm after as much data as I can get for as little cost. Also, when I mention "data only" I just mean that I'll only be using the data from the SIM as I tend to use my Giffgaff SIM to receive calls and texts.

EE unlimited data plans are not unlimited.
Basiclly, it all comes down to signal coverage first.

Utility Warehouse are offering 10GB for £5/month on a 1-month rolling contract.

Scancom's deal isn't at all competitive - £180 for less than 12 months.

Wife and myself are with SPUSU and works well on EE Network. We pay £4.50 per month with 5GB. USwitch are still offering this deal. SPUSU direct are currently showing £4.90 for 5GB - see below

How much data do you have with giffgaff?

I would say the cheapest way would be PAC out to the Sky mobile £1 per month deal if you want to keep main phone with MVNO O2 network. The use data from your MVNO EE SIM

scancom unlimited data EE sim is one off £198 until march 2028. It works out about £9 p.m.

If you need the EE signal, Mozillion is another one to add into the mix. 10GB data for either £120 upfront for 24 months (equiv £5/month) with £8 quidco cashback (making it £4.67 equiv per month) or if you can't pay upfront £6/month paying monthly with £11.20 quidco cashback (making it £5.54 equiv per month) and some optional thing to reduce your bill to zero by buying giftcards (not used this). I've been with them for a few months on a pay upfront deal, no problems, easy number transfer, signal just like EE, 5G, wifi calling, EU roaming, no mid-contract price rises etc.
