Advice regarding moving from Vodafone PAYG to Vodafone Pay Monthly?
Can anyone help me regarding this?....the online form is confusing! When I try to complete the online form it requests the "phone number I want to keep" (easy enough), then it asks for the "temporary pay monthly number I want to replace" but I want to replace a PAYG SIM not a Pay monthly SIM???

WIFI calling when switching sim only provider
My wife and I both have sim only deals and we live in an area where signal is relatively poor. She is with Vodafone and I am with BT Mobile. We both have 3 year old (or thereabouts) Galaxy S10s which we are happy with. My question: if we switch to another Sim only provider (e.g. Smarty or another), does anyone know if WIFI…

Small low cost Android phone?
There is an Android only app that hasn’t an iPhone equivalent. It is an app that I have a use for, particularly when overseas. Anyway, I am considering buying a smallish Android phone just for occasional use. Most recent models seem huge, not the end of the world, but one that fits a shirt pocket would be ideal. While…

MSE ID Mobile Sim-only deal
I'm thinking of signing up for a SIM only pay-monthly deal through MSE for ID mobile. These have a data allowance included but nowhere on either website does it say that this is a data allowance per month. I have been told that it is by ID mobile but it seems strange to me that such a basic fact isn't made explicit…

wifi switching on by itself
A number of times I have found that wifi has been turned on without my knowing. When I look at settings, it says:Wi-Fi doesn't turn back on automatically. Is it being turned on by Android, or the phone manufacturer (Motorola G24), to effect updates, and then not switching wifi off after doing the update?

Mis-selling phones on Amazon
So, following my bad experience buying a Samsung phone intended for the UAE from an Amazon listing specifying a UK spec model, I decided to ask a different seller about a different phone. As you can see from the conversation below, they were quite happy to admit they are mis-selling an "international model" as UK spec, but…

Onecom Vodafone weirdness

SMARTY not so smart customer service
SMARTY offer a great value (hence your rating them in top PAYG). But perhaps their popularity has affected their ability to respond quickly to customer issues. Whilst COVID has affected response times everywhere, the limitations of only having an online customer service portal become obvious. You firstly have to tackle…

Cheapest way to keep a dormant UK phone number
