Cancelling Vodaphone Contract - Nightmare!
On 02/12/2025, I tried to cancel my 12 month Vodaphone contract, which was up that month (I never used it as I discovered couldn't get a Vodaphone signal at my house).
I had a long conversation with a bot, which eventually agreed that my contract would terminate the following month as it was too late to cancel in December. Job done, or so I thought, and I cancelled my bank payment from after the January bill.
On 20/03/2026, I again spoke to a bot, as monthly bills kept coming in from them after the agreed January cut-off. It said it had no record of my December conversation.
Naturally, I again stated that I wanted to cancel the contract. Bills keep coming and I have now been placed in the hands of their credit management company, Zinc.
How can I get out of this spiral - they don't seem capable of cancelling my contract?
Help!

Call 191 from your Vodafone mobile to speak to a person, or
Go to a Vodafone store, or
Get your PAC code and give it to another network provider.
Unfortunately, cancelling the contract will not make the debt go away.

The Vodafone bot is useless.
Like most companies, use foul language due to their inability to deal with simple queries and you’ll soon get transferred to a real person.
I did that last month with a bill query and the person was really good and you can be emailed a copy of the chat for your records.
