Switching provider - will i get a pro-rata refund automatically?

I'm switching from talkmobile to lebara but my talkmobile contract (a monthly rolling plan) renews tommorow. Will i get a pro-rata refund automatically? And is it something all providers do?

I had done a similar thing when i was with ID mobile / smarty (not sure which!) but they didn't give back a refund when i switched before the monthly contract was over.

If you are using a PAC to move your number from Talkmobile to Lebara then yes, you should receive a refund of any up-front payment. Just be sure to leave your DD with them in place to facilitate this, it may take 2 billing cycles to clear your account completely.

Lebara don't or at least they didn't with me. I had to ask for it but still didn't get it until I gave a bad review on Trustpilot. Then someone called me and I finally got it with a bit extra.

Yes that's what I thought and assumed they were sensible enough to realise that. Maybe I should have spelt it out.

Useful to know thanks! I switch to save money and it would be counteractive to lose part of the contract time. But i only get the cheap lebara deals so i wouldn't be asked to bother if they don't refund.
