Mobile Phone Signal Reception Quality
Forgive me if this is a silly question, but my phone tech knowledge is limited.
About three years ago my wife and I each bought a new mobile, her a Samsung A16 and me a Moto Go4(?), each costing about £100.
We each have an O2 sim but from day one, when we are out about, I regularly struggle to get a signal while she has no problem. I changed my sim in case it was faulty but it made no difference.
So, my question is, even if similarly priced, are some phones better at getting a signal than others?. If so how do you know before buying, or is it pot luck?. Thanks

The Samsung besides the obvious 5G support against 4G LTE has a better hardware spec in all parts of it's network architecture. It's also getting many more OS upgrades compared to the Moto.

More recent phones will have more frequency bands, potentially better coverage. Equally EE or Vodafone/3 may have better coverage.
