Digital landline added to broadband cost?
How much extra should I expect Virgin media to charge me if I asked for a digital landline to be added to my existing broadband? Thanks

I was looking at their T&Cs just yesterday and the full price is £19 per month (with weekend chatter from memory), presumably (probably definitely) this would entail a new 24 month contract. You'd need to talk to them to see if they'll even do that and what price they'd give you. If you have TV with them as well, see if you can renegotiate a suitable overall price.

If Virgin charge way more than most other ISP’s to add telephone to broadband ( they generally charge £3-£5 to add telephone on a PAYG basis , or £12-£18 for adding a telephone service with unlimited calls ) or even if they charge a similar amount but you consider it too expensive, look at VoIP providers who work on any broadband network including Virgin.

I had a quick look at the MSE Unbundled site and adding their phoneline costs an extra £9 a month (which includes weekend calls). Obviously this is for new customers so for an existing customer it's going to depend who they talk to. In that case the YoIP providers may be a good call.

Well, one can add a phone line and use if only to receive calls (and for emergencies). This will cost about £3p.m.
Outgoing calls? - Just use your mobile.
