Sky Broadband with Pay As You Talk
Signed up for Sky Fibre 150 back in August (19th) via MSE.
Just got first bill and call charges are way higher than I expected. Just checked the current MSE deals for the same, and call charges are shown as much lower than I've been charged. Unfortunately I don't have a screen grab of the offer from August - but I'm convinced they were much lower than I've been charge.
Sky didn't send me confirmation of the prices or a contract before or after I signed up (these are available via they're app).
Did anyone else take out the offer from around that time and keep note of call charges, or what my best next options are?

their app
Where on MSE do you see the call charges?
Yes, Pay As You Talk is very expensive. If you really want to make landline calls, add one of their calls packages. However, why can't you use your mobile phone for this where unlimited calls cost peanats?

Call charges are listed on a pop-up when you click on the question mark within each deal.
Agree with the other points. No mobile signal in our house though, hence we wanted a landline. Plan was just to use it for incoming calls, with the occasional outgoing.
But Sky are charging me roughly double what I expected per minute, and a minimum charge per call to boot (it's roughly 20 years since I last used a domestic landline, was it always the case?) which was not mentioned on the advert.
(Hum, not certain where they're came from - must do better)

Sky Talk PAYG rate is 27p a minute plus 25p connection charge , so a 10 min call to a regular landline or mobile is going to be £2.95 (27p x10 =£2.70 +25p call connection fee ) , TBH , with these prices you would be mad to use the Sky Talk service for anything other than incoming calls if you have a mobile with included minutes that’s the obvious thing to use for outgoing calls .
For someone who prefers to use the landline phone for outgoing calls then an inclusive minutes Sky Talk plan makes sense if they make more than a couple of very short calls per month , it’s something like £9 for included Weekends and Evenings calls , or £18 for Anytime Calls.

Check if your mobile plan & your handset support WiFi Calling, many do. Would let you access the mobile network (and free calls) via your broadband connection.

And if the handset doesn support it, you can get a new one with WiFi Calling suppot for £50ish or even cheaper. A new plan, if needed, will cost few pounds p.m. Both can be used as a substitute for landline.

Try an email to customerservices@moneysupermarket.com, you'll get nowhere with Sky as it's not their website. I'd be very surprised if you didn't receive emails from Sky and possibly one via MSE if you used their link.

If you don't make a lot of calls, even a monthly inclusive bundle might be a bit on the high side
Separate VoIP calls, using either £30 or so of secondhand hardware or an app installed on a mobile, can be under a penny a minute
