How can I port a landline number to Sipgate?

EDIT: I managed to contact Sipgate, who have sent me all the details of how to do this. See post #3.
Referring to this post that led me to Sipgate a long time ago — I had actually forgotten that I already had an account!
I am moving house, but because it's to a new area, I can't keep my old number.
What I want to do is port my old landline number to Sipgate and use it there, so I can continue to use it.
I have no idea how to go about doing this! Sipgate already gave me a number (free), which I've never used apart from a couple of tests to check that I could make it work, so they can have that number back.
Do you know how I can go about porting the old number to Sipgate? Or, perhaps, a dummy's guide somewhere on the internet? The old number is with Virgin Media, in case that makes a difference.
Thank you

However, Sipgate was impressively quick at getting back to me with instructions and the legal forms to fill in. They said that migrating from Virgin Media has always been fine in their experience.
If you have this requirement, I contacted them like this: log into your Sipgate account, select your icon at the top right corner, select Help Centre, and then "Submit a request" in the top right corner.
I hope that this helps someone. It's definitely a cheap VOIP alternative.A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle. (Anon.)0
