Cancelling Sky TV subscription. Can I ask them to reverse decision if no retention offers made?
Hi Hope I am posting in the correct forum. So basically my Sky bill has jumped from £50 to £90. (I only have TV package) I have been with Sky consistently for 21 years. It normally jumps up once I'm out of contract, but I do the usual haggling stuff and they usually bring it down to a level I am acceptable with. This time…

Sky pay as you go
I cancelled Sky’s Anytime Extra ( now £120 p.a. ) and was moved to pay as you go, on an 18 month contract ! How does that work ? The same agent wouldn’t let me cancel my tv contract even although I’d offered to pay any penalties. Am I alone with these results ?

Sky price hike
Despite being only 11 months into my 18 month contract I got a letter yesterday to tell me that my Sky bill was going up by 6%. I was under impression with other companies that legally they could only change it by the RPI amount (1.4%) - are Sky bound by the same rules and if so does this mean I can negotiate my contract ?

Virgin Media Best Contact Method For Billing Error
We swapped to Virgin in November and have just had our first DD taken (after 3 months free) They have taken £89 despite the contract being for £79 a month I know they are known to have awful customer service and I'm conscious I could end up on hold for forever if I call. Do they still have an online chat option still as I…

Landline Only Deals
My elderly parents are currently paying for broadband which they no longer use, as dementia means that they have forgotten what to do. I contacted their provider, Plusnet, to see if I could ditch the broadband and just keep the landline and was told that this wasn't something they offered. I then went looking for landline…

Freesports (HD) missing on Freeview?
I'm enjoying the offering on Freesports for how much I watch TV and sports. My Freeview does have HD channels but I can't see a Freesports HD channel listed on my guide, despite reading about it online. At the moment, I'm just watching the SD version of the channel. Does anyone have any ideas or tips on how I can get…

Possible move from Virgin to Sky - any advice, please?
I'd be grateful for any advice and information on the situation my mother finds herself in. My father died of coronavirus at the beginning of January and my siblings and I are helping her sort out the technology-related utilities, which had always been his area. My parents have been with Virgin for many years and had gone…

Have the money saving days on Now TV ended?
Around 20 months ago I ditched Sky TV and switched to Now TV. This saved me around £40-50 per month. Since then, I have continued to save by buying cheap passes or accepting offers when cancelling passes. On average, I have been paying £5-10 per month for the Entertainment and Cinema passes. As a worst case scenario, I…

Is Sky in breach of contract?
As mentioned in a previous posting, I have technical issues with Sky, namely that my landline stopped working a week ago. This was notified to Sky almost immediately by email. Sky contacted me by return email this week and, to cut a long story short, eventually by mobile phone when I was made to wait in a muzak queue for…

Nuisance Calls
Between 9am and 11am this morning my parents received 14 calls presumed to be nuisance calls. This situation has been ongoing for quite some time, although not quite as acutely as this morning. They are retired, but reasonably savvy so some months ago changed the answerphone: All calls are allowed to go to answerphone, and…

New phone (Samsung A12) is HUGE/Taller compared to old phone,a big concern? or i'll get used to it?
Hiya, currently have the Samsung Galaxy J3 2016, and have bought a Samsung A12, which is in the progress, to be delivered. Also ordered a flip case which has come, I knew this new Samsung A12 was a bit taller than my current Samsung J13, but the case now shows it visually. It is about a few CM taller. I knew it was bigger,…
