ISP's that allow Indirect Access Numbers
I am currently with Virgin Media and use 18185 for my landline calls. If I move away from VM I don't want to lose my 18185 access but it's very difficult to find out which ISP's allow Indirect Access Numbers to be used. I believe that BT and Plusnet allow them, but what about others such as Shell Energy et al? Is there a…

Virgin Media Trouble
Hi, I recently upgraded my virgin media package to include tv for a special offer for £43 a month. Not knowing much about the tv packages I went with the mixed bundle, I soon realised that the bundle didn't include HD channels or documentary channel etc. I decided to ring up and see if I could change from mixed to the full…

Hi Probably a silly question.... I have moved into a new house. The TV aerial looks like the below photo. How can I plug it into my TV? Do I need to get a convertor of some sort? Thanks!

Odds of a Sky January sale for 2021?
After doing some digging on Google, it seems that Sky had a January sale this year where they matched their Black Friday offers. Looking to get Sky TV & broadband for my new house, and their current 'festive offer' is okay, but I'd really like the half price UHD and bundled Netflix. Anyone with insider knowledge of whether…

Smart TV advice for use without internet
We are once again trying to get more options on TV channels for 80 year Mum who has no internet or wifi access. One son says she can use his Netflix to get more channels - but brother has told her she would not get use out of smart TV unless she had broadband. We would all club up for nice TV for present , but really it is…

0845 business number coming through to my private landline - how to stop it.
Odd one this. Wonder if anyone has suggestions of who to contact to sort. We have had a few calls from people who have been calling an 0845 number. The number they call is a business in Stevenage which shows up on google as permanently closed. Why would people calling that 0845 number get put through to me? How can I stop…

External storage for tv?
Hello, I would like to buy an external hard drive to record tv. I have a clash of programs I would love to watch on Sunday; that are unlikely to be repeated (and aren’t on Freeview catch up). The LG site sets out the specifications for the device. I already have a hard drive for my Mac. I assume because its for a Mac the…

Sky Price Rise Mid Contract
I took out an 18 month contract with Sky 8 months ago, total cost for all channels and internet was £97. This months bill has risen to £129 because they have removed a discount on my sports channels and my broadband was out of contract. I have had to ring up and re negotiate a new price and got them down to £104 pm. As…

My Virgin deal which includes broadband, home phone and mobile in one bundle is coming to an end soon and the price is to virtually double. I'm looking for a new deal ie with all three included in a bundle but can't seem to find any comparison sites that offer that particular option? Broadband AND phone yes but not with…

Sony TV/Now TV question.
I have a Sony Smart TV. Recently, I've noticed an app is available which allows access to the various NOW TV passes. I'm tempted to subscribe, because it would be good to be able to view Sky Atlantic programs, which I'm not currently able to do, without the need of an extra TV stick. The thing that's putting me off is the…

Big issue with my Sony 4K Smart TV today. Sound went off and screen is showing "safe mode" message, although picture is still viewable. Got through to Sony and they sent me a link to update software. I wasn't able to do this and they're now sending me a USB stick with the update. I have a function on the TV which is…

I wish to amplify the sound in a landline handset (ie the imcoming voice volume, not the ringer)
Hi, My landline phone works perfecrtly well when making phone calls to anyone except for my elderly aunt in Florida - when speaking to her I can barely hear her voice. She does not seem to understand that the problem is probably at her end - I think she is using a cordless phone. As I cannot get her to change to a corded…

NOW TV BORADBAND - free sky TV £22 per month (always) only 12 month commitment...
This is really just a bit of advice for anyone looking for a very reasonable deal. I signed up for unlimited broadband a couple of years ago, it was £25 per month and they gave me a free 3 months of Sky Sports. When it came time for renewal the standard price was a fair bit more so I phoned them up. They immediately beat…
