However I have noticed that the line from the telephone pole that comes to the house is cut and hanging off. Do I need to book a phone line engineer to sort this, or is it part…

Cost of annual Line Rental Saver
I'm trying to find the 2021 cost of Plusnet annual line rental saver. I think it may be just under £200 and although I have looked on line and tried their 'chat' the chat option is closed at present. I would like to be able to compare with the cost of BT's annual line rental saver. I know it is cheaper to pay one year in…

Three Network - problem with retaining mobile phone number - a cautionary tale
I saw the Three Network advertised deal on the MSE site for £7 pm for 12GB of data, unlimited calls and texts. As I am an existing customer and my contract ends with Three halfway through next month I contacted them directly to get the deal but alas, although I have been a customer for five years, the best they could offer…

Calling a landline abroad from a UK mobile
Hi, does anyone know the cheapest way to call a landline in Australia from a UK mobile? For the past 10 years l’ve used a basic Nokia dumbphone with a Lycamobile SIM and topped up with PAYG vouchers from Tesco. Calls cost 1p per minute, and vouchers lasted as long as it took to use up the minutes. Then, a couple of months…

Trying to use an override number when calling a BT VIP number
Some people I know have me on a select list of BT VIP numbers. The problem is I don't think you can contact them using a 18185 override number via BT. With the override on front the system will treat it as a non VIP number. Has anyone found a way around this? Has anyone used the VIP system and added the 08081703703…

How do I stop scammers calling me?
For the last 3 weeks or so, I've been getting automated scamming phone calls to my landline. The first phone call was them pretending to be BT, second was Amazon. I don't answer the…

I'm also due to move house soon and will need broadband, probably fibre, but I'm sure basic fibre would do (I live alone). EE were very honest that they were not able to match other pay-as-you-go providers such as smarty…
