Please recommend a good non-BBC news radio station?

I have stopped paying my TV licence and would like to know anyone’s recommendations for a good news radio station? I am currently interested in the Diana-BBC debacle and so I don’t want to listen to the BBC.

Funnily enough, on occasions when I got fed up with the same old clap trap on bbc1 and Sky, I used to switch to RT and sometimes it was quite interesting because it had more international reports, although I did find it annoying when they put the text of what they were saying on the screen as well, it seems a bit childish.Chino said:

Listened lunchtime and it was good, thanks.EssexExile said:Times Radio. I haven't tried it so more a suggestion than a recommendation.
I didn’t think much of Talk Radio except that they also play music, but perhaps I need to look at their schedule.
My main problem is that my iPad gets hot when listening to internet radio, so I am reluctant to listen for more than an hour!0 -
Times Radio, Talk Radio and LBC are all good, and seem far less biased than the BBC, but one or two presenters may get your hackles up, depending on whether you favour the left or right wing.
Overall, I find a mixture of the three to be far more refreshing than the stale format that has become the BBC."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock2
