What are we leaving feedback for now?
Have just gone to leave feedback for a seller yet it seems I'm now leaving feedback on the item, not the seller. In this modern day I can hazard a guess - did someones feelings get hurt because a buyer said something 'not nice' & now we can't leave feedback for sellers? I bought an item that was advertised as new. When it…

Extra Postage Cover .. Item sold for £300
I listed an item with postage of £8 (for once, eBay simple delivery didn't automatically jump in during the listing) Now, it has sold for a fraction under £300 Going to 'buy' a postage label through ebay, all the compensation levels are way below this figure, except the Special Delivery option at over £14. OI had intended…

ebay changed item to 'simple deliver' .. EVRi postage wrong
I listed an item, with my usual postage, but eBay has changed this to their Simple Delivery and the weight is too low. EVRi item but weight is slightly over 1 kg What do i do now ?

eBay find in my favour then remove bad feedback
After a terrible experience with an eBay seller, (posted here) ultimately eBay found in my favour and I was issued a refund for none delivery. I obviously gave feedback reflecting everything that happened, but to my utter amazement eBay has removed my feedback! eBay buyers Beware. You can no longer rely on the…

Seller breaks £2k item then wants refund. Private sale.
I recently sold a workout machine for £2000 in a private sale on Ebay. It was in perfect cosmetic and working order. The item was too heavy to post so I hired a van at my own expense, drove to the buyer's house, set it up for him and left. He was happy with the purchase and all was fine. But now, over 3 weeks later, the…

"What's the lowest you will accept for this item?"
How would you deal with this question from someone who has placed no offer, and has had no prior contact? I get this quite often - my view is I've listed an item at a certain price that I feel is fair. Obviously the listed price is what I would like - but I have placed the option to consider an offer. Why would I reduce my…

Ebay age conformation
Trying to buy some saw blades on ebay. Won't let me make an offer as it says I need to verify my age. How? I can't find a direct method of doing it? An Internet search tells me adding a credit card to my payment methods should do it but, after putting my card details in it tells me I need to confirm it's me with a text…

What postal service do you use?
With the recent royal mail price increase ive been thinking about other options. Im talking about normal deliveries with a business ebay and amazon account. Inpost is very tempting (depending on height it can be £2.63-£6 for 15kg item) Though with inpost, evri and yodel you will need to declare slower deliveries. Ive found…

Another Self Assessment question
Last financial year I trialled buying with the intention of selling online and sold just over the £1000 Trading Allowance threshold. All the advice I've seen suggested this counted as a 'side hustle' and filing a SA return was relatively straight forward. The SA form assumes I am self-employed and asks for a Business name.…

Ebay Postage - Business Account, Bulk Postage
Hi, We've started using the eBay postage thing for the items we sell. For individual items, it's fine, you get your QR code and toddle off to wherever with it. If you have more than one item, do you still get the choice of QR codes or do you have to print labels? I'm happy to put them through individually to get the QR…

And another self assessment question
First time filling one out due to ebay activity, earned around £6500 in 2024/2025 tax year. So is my pension income and savings income included in this assessment as i thought this was a business account and i already have a personal tax account? It is asking for my income from uk savings interest but is this not covered…

In post help please
I have just sold an item through Vinted and have attempted to post it. The In post locker won't scan the barcode, I don't have a QR code (or I don't know where to find it). The screen says I can enter the barcode, but there are two and both contain characters (brackets or symbols) that are not shown on the touch screen. I…

stopping 'live auctions' on ebay from announcements on an iphone
I'm not sure how best to describe my question- so stick with me. I get quite a bit of ebay traffic through the ebay app on my iphone, and open the pop ups to see if it's a message or confirmation of an offer or whatever. However I am plagued by 'live auctions' I click on the ebay 'message' and it immediately opens a live…

Buyer beware! Delivered = Not Delivered
Buyer beware! Delivered = Not Delivered Second time I've been scammed like this Just ordered some bulk coffee pods £40+ (currently £60 on Amazon), received with only 2 days date on. Returned these. Got a refund a week later. Fine. I guess? Found a different seller, confirmed good date, ordered and paid. 3-5 days deliveryNo…

Non payers
What is the ‘punishment’ for non paying bidders? Out of nine items sold over the last two weeks, three have not paid. We are talking £2 each here 🤬 I’ve cancelled the sales after a week, should I be doing anything else? One of the ‘buyers’ has many positive feedbacks but lots of them are saying they’ve not paid.

USA Postage
I have sold a £10 item to the USA, the cheapest eBay postage it £17.99, can I still go to the post office and buy a stamp for it or is it to do with Tariffs? If it's Tariffs I will have to cancel the sale.

Kraft or Honeycomb Packing Filler
Appreciate advice on the best option to fill the box space when sending items ? I use bubble wrap to protect the item, but to fill the cushioning gap, I'm torn between using the flat-then-scrunched Kraft-type paper you get in Amazon boxes or the Honeycomb version. Both lightweight I know...but do members favour one over…

Item needs age verification but not facilitated by Simple Listing
I am selling a box full of picnic settings with enamel handles - 12 settings in all. Ebay have said I need to relist it stating age verification but there is no facility to do this. Anyone else had a similar problem and how did you resolve it. please?
