No SD refund on a cancellation?
I've only just noticed this, Buyer purchased an item and paid. The postage amount was deducted from the sales price (was listed with free postage) Buyer then said they had made a mistake so I cancelled the sale using 'Buyer asked to cancel ' The refund taken from me was the full sales price but the postage amount has not…

Item despatched email closely followed by refund email?
Early today I bought an item on ebay paying the listed price (£12ish inc del.). A few hours later I got an item despatched email. Less than 10 minutes later I got an email saying I had been refunded. On checking the listing the price had increased to £22ish. No request to cancel the transaction email received. Surely this…

Vinted updated T and cs
Vinted have updated their T and Cs and it seems all users have to accept the new terms formally . There are a few tweaks . The not removing and relisting items in bulk is stressed, this is common on Vinted due to the way items are displayed, and a reminder about fakes , which a lot of users ignore as there is a myth that a…

Ebay - £5off if I use Klarna - worth it?
Hi All, There is £5 off a £70-£150 spend on eBay if I use Klarna to pay over three instalments. Apparently no interest charged and payments come out automatically over three months. I can afford the full amount in one go, so would only be doing this for the £5 off. And likely close the Klarna account immediately after. Has…

Return Request with Simple Delivery
So I have had a return request for an item that was sent using SD. Not a problem as Ebay is taking care of it and I don't have to do anything and I don't lose out. But I am not happy that Ebay don't tell me the reason why the buyer has opened a request. Did it arrive broken (it was a delicate item)? Did I not describe it…

Item return advice
Good evening. I bought an item on 5th April. It arrived on 15th April. I did not like the item and informed the seller and sent it back. I did not use the Returns process on ebay. The item weighs 2 kilos and I used the same service that the seller used to return it on 26th April. Royal Mail flagged it as underpaid postage…

Lost returns parcel - very expensive issue
Hi all, wondering if you could advise before I pick a route to go down. Sold a watch. Buyer requested a return as 'not as described'. While I disagree with their claim, due to the issue being clearly visible in the photos, I accepted the return. Parcel was sent back using an eBay PF48 label I believe, despite me paying £24…

Is there a way to stop your home address appearing on the postage labels? Weird buyer.
I just wondered if it is possible to keep your address from appearing on the postage labels when you print them. I had a crazy buyer who knocked on my front door at 10.15 last night to say she was returning a handbag she had bought from me. She agreed that there was nothing wrong with it at all, she said the grey was not…

Buy it Now Query
I've recently been experimenting with using Buy it Now rather than auction and it is working really well. Ive noticed that some of my items have 'Interested Buyer' alongside them even if that item has no watchers. They also say to send an offer to those buyers. Im just curious as to how these interested buyers appear. I…

Klarna vs PayPal for payment on eBay?
I've had PP for donkey's years, with no issue. Still no issue with them, but notice Klarna is being promoted quite strongly.Checked it out, and it's a Scandinavian company - usually a good start - whereas PP's largest stakeholders are Vanguard Group Inc, BlackRock, etc.On a purely ethical basis, which is best? And any other…

Ebay fees incorrect, higher than they should be.
I'm selling an item for £150, I work out the buyer fee to be £6.10 but ebay is charging the 'buyer' £6.68. It should be 10p plus 4% which is £6.10.
