AliExpress parcel stuck in RM DC
I bought something from AE and I thought I used DHL for delivery option.
I got an email from AE to say my item is despatched and when checking it was RM service.
It says 48 he service used but it has been sat at Home Counties DC for 6 days now and the parcel was sent from AE using UK centre
I can't go to RM as I am not the sender and AE account says wait till 17/06.
Will I have to wait until then and hope it turns up or is this how AE work?

Does the tracking give any more information, such as awaiting customs clearance or payment of import taxes or duties? I wonder if the sender under-declared the value and customs want to straighten that out.
Have you tried contacting RM? It would be quite valid to ask if it is delayed because they are waiting for you to do something. If a payment is needed they will be keen to accept money from whoever offers to pay!
Can you not contact the seller via AE to see if they know what is happening?

Thanks.
As mentioned in my post it was shipped from the UK .
It was shipped from South West parcel hub on 1/06/26 and has been at home counties north for 7 days
How does a non sender of the parcel contact RM for info please?

I recently bought from AliExpress and I think they use DHL international as it comes from china, did yours or was it sent from the UK. I couldn't work it out from your post, it's probably me brain fog apologies.
I don't know if royal mail customer service would be able to help you. If you have the tracking number would they be able to contact someone at home counties and get them to shoo it along.
I'm just jealous you get it delivered by royal mail and mine was delivered (thrown in the back garden ) by Evri.

AliExpress (AE) sent from UK was the item I bought and I thought DHL was the courier delivering the item.
I don't know how to contact RM as there isn't much help in the help section about tracking info unless I am missing something.
Thanks for the reply.

In the beforetimes, when Twitter was populated by more people than bots, I had success chasing up the occasional RM parcel (as the recipient) on there. I have no idea whether it would still produce any results now though.

If you use study the, AE, page you're looking at you will see the shop that's selling the item aswell as the contact methods, you can contact the shop/seller directly.
Whenever i've needed to contact sellers they've responded in a timely manner and resolved issues of broken or missing items by swift refunds (or sending on the missing items).
I've bought from numerous sellers on AE and different sellers use different courier/postage methods.
The estimated delivery dates are visible and the longest timeframe estimates have usually been the cheaper cost.

Thanks for the reply.
I don't know what study is sorry.
My estimated delivery date was by 7/06/26 and AE have already given me a £2 voucher.
I will look again at contacting the seller.

I don't use twitter X but did look at RM Facebook but that's just self promotion site for them.
7th June was estimated date but all I can find on RM site is a 0345 number to call them.

When you are on this page and logged in, at the top there is a outline of a human, press that then on the help center. It will then show you what you purchased and ask various questions, you click on what your query is then hopefully it should proceed from there.
