THEN, when they tell me its perfectly fine now, they switch me and charge £75 exit fee! I get why there is a fee...you make a decision that nothing better will come along,…

It is not clear to me, but if currently on a fixed tariff with a few weeks remaining, does selecting a new fixed tariff immediately puts you on the new tariff or when your current term expires? Would appreciate your experiences. Thanks.

Meter Timeswitch Codes (MTC) for electricity meters
Does anyone know where to find a (current) list of Meter Timeswitch Codes (MTC) that specify the peak and offpeak times for a specific multi-rate MPAN? My limited search skills have so far failed me when battling my way through the Elexon/BSC jungle. [It's the same story with SSCs and TPRs, but this really helpful table…

Snug Octopus - how many radiators???
Have had a bit of a battle with Octopus trying to get onto Snug which I won't go into, however, I've now been told we apparently have in their words "quite a number of radiators" and they're not sure what limit the Snug tariff can handle. I find this ludicrous. I've told them we have 7 storage radiators but only use 3, it…

Off-Peak Smart metering
Many of us have watched the TV commercial featuring a character resembling Albert Einstein alongside Angela Ripon, which highlights how smart meters can help save money when using electrical appliances during off-peak hours. My question is whether this only applies if you're 'not on a fixed tariff', or does it also apply…

Hello I am with OVO energy on a dual fuel direct debit. I currently pay £141 & OVO want to change it to £299. At the moment I am £690 in credit. This seems a totally inappropriate amount to increase it by. I have tried to change it on online but can only reduce it by 10% to £270. May I please ask for some advice as to my…

British Gas and AR marker arranging Direct Debit Payment Plan
Well this is a surprise, I recently switched from British Gas to Octopus - the best thing ever.
