Octopus Home Mini problems..?

Annoyingly, for the second week on the trot the Mini has lost its connection. Both have happened late on a Sunday night. On both occasions a simple "switch it off, and on again" has solved the issue, but I do wonder what is causing it and if I'll need to ask them to replace it. Anyone else finding issues?

I've just had to switch-off-and--on-again mine for the fourth time in a week, so it's definitely not just you!

I'm thinking of putting a smart plug on mine to make it more easily turn-on-and-offable (if you remember the old Aardman Heat Electric ads, you'll know what I mean).

Edit: here, for anyone who's forgotten them. With bonus Johnny Morris!

Mine went offline yesterday (Sunday) too. Not had a problem in ages. Switched it off and on again. Import and gas are showing in the Day stats, the export isn't though.

the smart plug is a good shout - might dig one out for mine as well, not least as it enables it to be done remotely.

It does seem like there is a little flurry of issues with the then, doesn’t it.

Mine went off last Wednesday when we had our broadband upgraded and a new router installed. I tried repeatedly to connect it to the new WiFi and thought I’d finally succeeded.

However although it has connected to the WiFi it has lost connection to the actual electricity meter. So it has been stuck on the green light since Saturday. In the app it says in this situation to contact them, so I emailed over the weekend but am still awaiting a reply.

Only time we had problems was when we changed broadband provider 18 months ago. Took a couple of days of on/off and it finally worked. Been fine since.

Just a thought, is there any chance they were too hot with the heatwave? My wheelchair battery charger does weird things when it gets too hot (good job I didn't need to go anywhere during the week!) and I know cameras can stop working and so on.

Good shout it's been 80°+indoors I know i don't work well in the heat🥵, I changed my broadband last friday but have not had a problem with the mini , I kept the SSID the same, too many devices have it "baked" in. I did have problems with my inverter and IOF but think that was coincidental, and my home VPN stopped working, that is down to CGNAT gigaclear use that.

Mine stopped working twice last week and the room it is in wasn't particularly hot.

It may just have been issues at the Octopus end.
