My Mini has been a lot better recently, only one reboot needed in the last week.

Not had to do a reboot of the mini since I've had it. Had to power the computer that it is attached to on a couple of occasions.. Also changed my wifi hub which caused a few smart devices to acquire new IP addresses, the mini included.

I spoke too soon - mine dropped off again this evening. It’s now plugged into a Tapo so that should at least make life easier if it goes again.

I've been using little ESP boards (the same chip that is inside a mini). Of late, I've had one going in to a reboot cycle every 10-15 minutes and dropping the wifi connection. Darned annoying when it is controlling the heating system. Reflashing with updated firmware did not solve the problem.. Ended up replacing the board to cure the problem. One of the dangers of using cheap goods sourced from China…

Unfortunately, the Octopus Home Mini also contains the same ESP chip to handle wifi and communications - If the OHM uses substandard chips, it is just possible that it is suffering from terminal failures. One would hope that the components have been sourced from reputable suppliers, but it is still possible that the odd one or two dodgy parts get through.

My OHM hasn't given any problems since I posted back on the 3rd.
