Smart Meter Apps - Bright, Loop Or Something Else ?
Did a search on here and couldn't find much on the pros and cons of each or any others to use. I am with Eon Next and have their app. I have also downloaded both Bright and Loop. Meters were installed yesterday Eon is currently showing electric but not gas use. Basic usage charts, defaults to £s and have to change it back…

Reselling Electricity
I live in a building which has 116 residential apartments and 6 commercial units. We have one main meter coming into the building and then we have our own sub meters. The caretaker takes a meter reading and then the total consumption is then subtracted from the main meter which is then in the service charge budget as…

Considering AHSP or Solar Panels
We are thinking about either getting an AHSP or Solar Panel system with a battery but there is so much information out there and I could do with some advice or recommendations. We live in Norfolk so plenty of sunshine. A few of our neighbours have solar panels and our roof is east/west facing. We only have electric so it…

Nationwide Renewables - Solar Panels
Has anyone else had dealings with Nationwide Renewables? They installed Solar Panels at my Fathers last July but have yet to provide any certification at all. They are not MCS certified and not a part of the REAL registration scheme or even subscribing to the Ombudsman. I'm in discussion with a Complaints Manager who,…

Smart meter issues ongoing - advise please
Hi all, I'm afraid this is a long story that I'll try to summarise. In April I received an estimated bill from EON of approximately £400. I knew this was a massive overestimate as our monthly direct debit was just under £200 for duel fuel and we were £700 in credit. Interestingly when I had previously tried to claim back…

Utility Warehouse Charges
I have been trying for many months to get Utility Warehouse to speak to us about our Electricity Bills for our tiny church. We use electricity for about one and a half to two hours a week for eight light-bulbs, and Infra-Red heaters during the winter. Eighteen months ago our bill was about £400 per annum. It then jumped to…

How long before IHD starts to show gas usage?
Good afternoon all. We've recently had gas and electricity smart meters installed and although the IHD has been showing the electricity kWh etc from the off we're still waiting for the gas usage to start showing. I've heard that it can take a couple of weeks for a gas meter to start communicating all the way to the…

Flexible Octopus Tariff
Once an existing Octopus account is migrated to Smart Meters(gas & elec), does the continuing "Flexible Octopus" tariff now offer the possibility to use off peak hour discounts?. Didn't seem clear from Octopus enquiry. Of course it wasn't available from old meters.

Flexible Octopus tariff confusion
Good afternoon, For the past few years family friend been on Octopus Energy and their "Flexible Octopus" tariff (but not on elec/gas Smart Meters). This last few weeks Octopus migrated them to Smart Meters (elec/gas). They're still by defaukt on "Flexible Octopus" and I'm led to believe they can maximise the Smart Meters…

OVO billing issue
I recently moved house and closed my account with Ovo which had been energy provider for over 4 years. When I closed my account, it was over £1000 in credit. I was told the credit would be reimbursed as soon as they issued the final bill, within 4 weeks. Time went by and I contacted them multiple times, but nothing was…

Octopus Go (not Intelligent)
As far as I can see Octopus Go just uses fixed times of day to switch rates. Does anyone know if it records usage in two registers, like E7? I can't do anything until our meter's fixed, which I hope will be tomorrow. I'm wondering if I should play safe with a tariff that won't completely fail if the smart meter comms play…
