Hello - My account will be in debit next month so can anyone advise if I make a payment to keep it in credit will this stop my Direct Debit from being amended? I don't want to top my account up and have it changed anyway. Many thanks for your help.

Octopus Energy Wheel Of Fortune. Anybody "won"?
I am with Octopus for my electricity. When you submit a meter reading on line, you then get a go at spinning their Wheel of fortune. This is a wheel divided into 12 segments, of which five are £0 and seven have a value, most £1 but there is one £512. Now I have spun the wheel 12 times now and won nothing. The law of…

Scottish Power urgent help needed
Hi all, I’m looking for advice on a billing dispute with ScottishPower. I’ve been charged £3,443 for electricity over the past year, despite not having a smart meter and charging my EV overnight — which should qualify me for an EV-friendly tariff. They recently asked for a photo of the meter readings to verify my entries and have said that the readings are…

No Smart meter can be supplied
My daughter and her husband moved into a house in the countryside on Scotland about 18 months ago. It is very picturesque but is 'semi-remote' in that the nearest town is about 2miles away, with a major city about 25minutes drive. They have recently had a baby so the need to keep the house warm is a priority. Since that…

Octopus Energy lost our smart meter data for 17 months – now wants to bill on estimates
Hello, I’m hoping for some guidance (and possibly visibility) on a long-running issue with Octopus Energy. We have a solar PV and battery system that operates on Octopus half-hourly smart tariffs. Our system deliberately buys electricity during low-price periods and exports during high-price periods, so accurate…
