Uswitch 25 hours free electricity
I’ve seen a promotion advertised by Uswitch offering 25 hours free electricity if you connect your smart meter. Has anyone taken part in this before as I think they may have ran something similar at Christmas? I assume the catch is they collect and sell your usage data to target you with tailored tariffs?…

A question before I change utilities
Will Marin Lewis's team protect us if we decide to change utility, through Cheap Energy Club? When the British Gas comparison offer was on a few weeks ago, I do believe that Martin Lewis said anybody changing to this new lowest tariff would be protected if BG had any problem with the switch? Thanks in anticipation

Switching via the Cheap Energy Club
I recently followed the MSE advice and switched from Scottish Power to British Gas via the Cheap Energy Club. My monthly bill went down from £95 to £65. But two months in, British Gas have just hiked it back up to £95! Any thoughts? Thanks.

Anyone got EV Tariffs???
It seems to be a problem Energy companies only tell you the off peak cost of 1p for 26 weeks of electricity but omit to tell you the peak rate is £36726482 per second unless you spend 2 weeks filling out the forms. They all seem to do this which suggests it IS in fact working?? Ive been dumped onto British Gas variable…

Comms Hub Fault?
I suspect that the answer to this will be to ring the supplier and register a fault, however, thought it was worth digging a bit here first. I noticed this morning that we'd had no meter readings sent to Octopus since the early hours of Monday. The use is still showing on the daily graphs in the Octopus app, but the weekly…

Fuse - do bills exist?
How do I get a fuse bill where it shows my consumption for the month? I googled this & it mentioned checking emails. I have - nothing there beyond a total price amount saying what will be collected. Can't seem to find anything in the app either beyond a price amount. Nothing that shows I've used X electricity and Y gas for…

Disconnect power or pay standingcharges
Our house is going to be empty for 3-4 months. We do not want the electricity/gas to keep running in this period as standing charges will rack up. I am inclined to get them cut off for time being. But if I get them cut off will the charge me for cutting and reconnecting after 3-4 months? Just trying to work best option.

Payments Overview
I've been with Octopus for some time now and following Martin's show a few weeks ago I took his advice and looked at my energy spending and payments forecast. My payments were £150 and balance £420 and my forecast for exactly 12 months later was around £11 higher and at no point in the 12 months was I expected to be less…

Single Person Living Alone - Energy Cost Prediction
Hi everyone, I’m moving into my new home soon — it’s a block of five houses and I’m in the middle one. The property has an EPC rating of B, so fairly energy-efficient. I’ll be out of the house Monday to Friday for work, and I shower at the gym every morning, so my water and energy usage should be on the lower side. I’ve…

Electric heating only flat
Hi If anyone has electric only heating, how have they found the bills? There is a 2 bed flat I am interested in, but it is ground floor and I am worried about the costs to heat the flat. Having spoken to some people who live in the block, they have said the bills can range from £75pm in the summer, up to £200-£300 for the…

OVO meter nightmare
Hello, new here, hoping for a bit of clarity on some issues I've had with OVO. Long story, I'll try to keep it brief. October 24, we sign for tenancy of house, it has an old style prepayment meter, storage heaters and immersion for hot water. We contact OVO about the key etc, and assume it's on Economy 7 due to set up,…
