Looks like EDF have given the teenage scribblers full rein. Oh well, shift happens...1

Trying to see pros and cons compared to Agile.
Pros:
- cheaper cap 75p
- red looks slightly cheaper than AVG Agile 16-19
- AVG so I can always run dishwasher at any time 23-6 rather than trying to pick cheapest slot.
- things like heat-pump, heaters that run at anytime can be easily scheduled
- periods close to 16 & 19 should be much cheaper
Cons:
- you lose cheapest periods, when there's 0p for 1h and 15p through the rest you'll get 13p
- it's new so you may be a guinea pig

Has anyone tried to join the tariff? I filled in all the sections and it hasn't shown up on my EDF. Seemed like it was worth a try especially as there are no exit charges.0

Has it got caps on those rates - and has it ever been "free" or "negative" - say on the green - like agile - which has hit the iirc pseudo £1 level at the red periods in past year ?0 -
@ Scot39
As Newby _John points out it does have a cap of 75pkwh on all rates. It can go to zero pkwh but doesn’t go negative.Like Agile you have to switch to EDF SVR then switch to a FreePhase Tariff. I’m currently switching to EDF and will post how it progresses.2 -
I agree I thought it is worth a try. Let us know if they let you join. Are EDF easy to contact by email or phone?nigem said:Has anyone tried to join the tariff? I filled in all the sections and it hasn't shown up on my EDF. Seemed like it was worth a try especially as there are no exit charges.0 -

Seemed like it was worth a try especially as there are no exit charges.I wasn't impressed, found them almost as bad as British Gas.'Which?' research from a year ago said that EDF was ranked joint 14th out of 16 energy companies in their annual customer survey. Its score of 62% put it only a handful of percentage points above the bottom-placed companies (Scottish Power and Ovo Energy, which scored 58% and 56%, respectively).1 -
The Free Phase Dynamic looks attractive to me after comparing rates with Octopus Agile but I wasn’t absolutely sure which export tariffs are available alongside the tariff. This was my best guess:
Next Export Exclusive v3.
We'll reward you with 13p per kWh of electricity you export on a 12-month fixed-term SEG tariff.
Fixed SEG rates for 12 months.
No exit fees.
Requires a smart export meter and consent for half hourly consumption data collection.
Eligibility criteria:
Import energy tariff with E.ON Next excluding smart tariffs i.e. Next Drive.
A residential customer with a renewable generation system (i.e. solar) up to 15kW.
New and existing customers.
Has anyone else looked into this? Does Free Phase count as a “smart” tariff - I assume not as there is no interaction with customer devices?
Stupidly I confused EDF with EON so above is irrelevant. Thanks @bristolleedsfan for pointing out my error. Apologies if I confused anyone else.
Northern Lincolnshire. 7.8 kWp system, (4.2 kw west facing panels , 3.6 kw east facing), Solis inverters, Solar IBoost water heater, Mitsubishi SRK35ZS-S and SRK20ZS-S Wall Mounted Inverter Heat Pumps, ex Nissan Leaf owner)0
