It's not clear when you plan to cut back peak usage.bristolleedsfan said:I am going to do very low usage, microwave chilled meal, cup of coffee during peak period Mon-Fri in hope of getting worthwhile free Sunday electricity during January.
If you are establishing your baseline in December you want to maxinise peak usage - though the FreePhase Red pricing may make it not worthwhile (it works for single priced tariffs because there is no incremental cost of peak use).
Sunday Saver is a reward for timeshifting usage away from the peak period vs your baseline so you want high peak usage Mon-Fri in December then cut back/ move around in January.
Once you are timeshifting, within day shifting is more effective than moving to the weekend because the relative shift in weekday peak use should be greater.

Can I take part in the Sunday Saver challenge if I'm on a FreePhase tariff?
"No, you can't take part, as you have to be on a one or two-rate tariff to do the Sunday Saver challenge. Our FreePhase tariffs have three electricity rates"
Xmas Day - Free Electricity - "be on an electricity tariff that has no more than two unit rates"

It seems that at least for some Free Phase Dynamic could work out cheaper than Agile. For the month of November I set Bright app to Agile and compared that with Free Phase Dynamic.
Agile would have cost £96.80 FreePhase Dynamic £92.86. Used 439.16 kwh0 -
How do you set the bright app to show Agile calculations?0

I went to the setting where you choose which to display, price or kWh. Then it gives you the option to change/set tariff. On the bottom of that screen is an option for Dynamic Tariffs, and then choose the Agile version with the right date for the one you're on.wakeupalarm said:How do you set the bright app to show Agile calculations?
What I'd really like is for someone to build a simple tool that shows what FreePhase would have cost based on actual usage, so we can easily compare - but I don't know if EDF makes the relevant tools/info available to do that (an API or something?) and I don't know that there would be enough interest yet for someone to do it anyway, unlike for Octopus' smart tariffs.2 -

I did as Spoonie_Turtle suggested to get what costs would be for me on Agile. Then using the hourly use feature on the Bright app and published daily rates for EDF Dynamic computed the daily cost for my use.
Agile was cheaper on some days but overall EDF Dynamic was best for my use.0
