This is only offered to existing IOG customers so you need to log in to see it. Fixing the low night rate for 12 months but it does come with quite high day time rates.

As I had batteries fitted yesterday seems like a no brainer for me.

    That's interesting!

Looks like Octopus are trying to stop people jumping ship to EDF Go Electric?

Edit: if you just use this part of the link you'll be prompted to log in. That was easier for me than copy-and-pasting my account number 😉

I've just signed up. I'll let folk know how it goes.

Interestingly they ask for the reg. no. of your EV as art of the sign-up process. I don't remember that from previous Go / IOG transfers.

Once the VAT is lost (ie. from tomorrow) here in Southern region I'll be paying:

    • 6.6p/kWh off-peak
    • 35.61p/kWh peak
    • 47.47p/kWh standing charge

For comparison my gas fix with Fuse is 7.41p/kWh, so for six+ hours a day it'll be cheaper to heat with electricity than gas this winter.

They also ask for car model and what charge point you have, all of this is info they should already have if the offer is for existing IOG customers. Hope they are not coming to make me switch from controlling my Zappi to controlling the Elroq.

Edit - does not seem to be the case, the switch was almost instant and nothing seems to have changed in the app.

Agreed, I seem to be switched over already and my Ohme wallbox is still there in "devices" :)

More expensive than my current IOG fix, but it might be handy when that expires in a few weeks. Guessing I can't "prebook" a switch though.

If it is less than 49 days to the end of your current fix it is worth asking…

I suspect this is a limited time offer though so they may not be willing to do that.

If anyone is wondering the tariff is only available to current IOG customers who were on the tariff on the 28th September, if you left before then or joined after then you can't get the Loyal tariff.

thanks. I’ve just signed up after recently moving from the 7p off peak to 8p, so that’s sweet. Only a penny a more for peak than I’m currently on.
I didn’t re register devices so hoping it is all seamless from here.

The peak on that tariff is eyewatering. Great for people with battery but don't think it will stem the seemingly steady flow of people to EDF. You would have to really like the mini and the stupid fish game to stick...

Maybe, maybe not. Here is EDF's equivalent "Go Electric 12m V3" fix in my region:

    • 6.66p/kWh off-peak
    • 36.36p/kWh peak
    • 52.96p/kWh standing charge
    • £75 early exit fee

IOG Loyal is cheaper on all four points. (EDF also offer a £5/month discount for smart charging, which could make Go Electric cheaper.)
