The grid frequency was at 49.5Hz, for a time, this morning. Right on the maximum variance allowed.

A rather ironic post from Energy UK. Energy UK is the trade association for the UK energy industry. I think everyone is vulnerable at the moment.

I've noticed over the past few days that the interconnector between the UK and France which was put out of action a few weeks ago is back up and running at reduced capacity. 1GW transfer is the most I've observed so far, which is roughly half its usual capacity. It is shown as 'IC France' here. https://gridwatch.co.uk/ (just click on 'meters' if you prefer the old style display)3

An open letter to suppliers about rising wholesale prices and the regulatory framework. One little dig in thereTariff offering – We understand the reluctance of suppliers to promote tariffs that are currently loss making, but consumers should nevertheless be able to obtain price cap compliant tariffs in line with suppliers’ licence conditions and obligations.
