BT landline, can't dial out to 0871?
This used to be OK about 6 months ago but I vaguely recollect I might have chosen an option somewhere to bar outgoing calls to certain premium rate(?) numbers but I can’t for the life of me recall where or how, and no amount of googling has helped with the answer. Any advice? Thanks.

Apple TV+ free trial - what is it?
I have a one year trial of Apple TV+, normal cost £4.99 per month. I don't have Apple TV or anything, just the app. What does my free trial get me? On the app I can see some BBC stuff, some Prime Video stuff and some stuff that you can pay a one-off charge for. Some of it seems to be just links to open in a different app.

Pure, noncommittal SIM only deals
Hi Is there a current mobile provider that offers a noncommittal SIM only deal? I would like a SIM where I only pay for calls and data used. I don't want to be tied to any sort of plan where you need to top-up with a minimum amount per month. I'm not going to use the SIM for anything nefarious. Can anyone help?

TV licensing....extracting extra money
I wasn’t aware that when you take out a new TV licence and choose to pay by monthly direct debit, you have to pay a full year’s licence fee for only half a year. You pay £25.75 each month for the first 6 months before it drops to £12.93 for the next 12 months. Totally wrong and unfair......

Complaints processes
Three recently withdrew support for complaints logged via Resolver. They say it is to get complaints resolved more quickly. I think it is to make it harder to complain. They now only accept complaints by post (not freepost), phone or web chat. None of these methods are as convenient or robust as resolver. They have made…
