BT broadband cancelled and watching sky cinema

Hi All,

Has a homemove with BT but had to cancel on Thursday as the move was postponed due to civic 19, BT went and cancelled by connection after I said not to.

currently have no broadband and waiting in a 4g mini hub from them. If I were to buy sky movies when would this activate and do I need a broadband connection to watch the movie channels ( I know I do for the sky store but not sure about the channels).

also would the bt mini hub cope with a multi room sky a box running from it?

If you have a connection to a satellite dish (and a Sky subscription) you'll be able to view Sky Movies as the channels are broadcast. You won't get any On Demand material though.
Sky Q mini-boxes require an internet connection for Multi-Room, the old Sky+HD boxes do not. Both require a Multi-Room subscription from Sky at extra cost.
A mini -hub should give an adequate signal to enable you to watch Sky Movies via Sky Go until you are re-connected...

Is it wise to sign up to Sky when you are moving fairly imminently? You'll be locked into a new minimum term....

  • Thank you. I was just looking for a rolling 31 day contract, my sky q package is now out of contract and I don’t want to sign up for a new one.

Not possible with Sky Q. However, if you get Broadband up and running, you could get Now TV on a monthly basis.

Or  just get a fire stick for Netflix and/or Amazon..
