Sky dish

is it possible to move your sky dish 6 inches higher and still get your signal ??

    The only important aspect is the orientation of the dish rather than it's height. However, if you propose moving the dish yourself it will be very difficult to do this without a signal meter. 
    Probably not the time to be worrying about six inches! :D

    You can put the dish where you like as long as it's pointing in the right direction and can see the tiny spot in the sky where the satellites are.

    I presume the ask to increase the height of the dish is because its behind a tree and they're starting to sprout leaves again?

    Same wall up 6 inches should not be a problem as the dish alignment should remain

    As said above, moving the dish up the wall by 6 inches will make no discernible difference ... as long as your basic alignment is unchanged.
