Lloyd’s refunded overdraft charges without me asking
Lloyd’s have given me two credits today of £140 for my overdraft charges, because I wasn’t told they were going to take the money apparently. So my question is, would this be the whole amount or a gesture and should I try chasing the rest. Or be happy I got a little or all of it back?

Scam recovery
Helping a neighbour who has had numerous people ringing to offer "insurance" for many unnecessary items. Clearly scams. Seems to have been talked into some and has paid by his debit card, and there also appear to be some direct debits. Has nothing to show for anything but single page letters saying that he now has cover…

Allay Claims Gladstone Brookes
Vaguely remember filling out some forms online a long time back. Gladstone Brookes have been in touch as have Allay. I honestly can't remeber who I went with but GB have said there is a delay and Allay say they have a large payout for me. Allay's letter vague. I assume any company would take their fee from the refund for…

Direct Debit Guarantee Farce
I'm hoping there is a banking expert reading this, as I'm about to go insane. In early January 2020, I cancelled my direct debit with Sky, through my bank (Monese). On the 16rh January, Monese let a payment of £66 go to sky, this is after I've cancelled the DD. I requested a refund under the DD guarantee, and then got busy…

Won my MPPI claim, but sceptical about calculation
I finally received a decision from HSBC after 6 months and was very pleased to learn they have accepted my claim. I had no idea I was sold MPPI and did not require it. The question I have is, they are telling me that I had MPPI from mortgage inception (Jun-2002) though to Oct-2004 (with the first 6 months being free),…

Plevin vs. Full refund amounts?
Quick question re PPI & Plevin. I recently had my claim rejected but had a Plevin payment. Since then, my complaint for a full refund has been upheld. My questions are: 1 - based on the Plevin refund what can I expect to receive from a full payout roughly as a factor of it? (After Plevin deducted?) I can't seem to find any…
