Plevin vs. Full refund amounts?

Quick question re PPI & Plevin. I recently had my claim rejected but had a Plevin payment. Since then, my complaint for a full refund has been upheld.  My questions are:

1 - based on the Plevin refund what can I expect to receive from a full payout roughly as a factor of it? (After Plevin deducted?) I can't seem to find any info online between the general differences between Plevin/full payouts (any pointers?)
2- does anyone know what commission rates were in the 90s?

Thanks,
John.

    1 - impossible to answer.
    2 - it varied
3 - normally in weeks but currently more likely to be months due to the workload.

Thanks. I can see that it's impossible to answer accurately, but am I right in thinking a full refund will be considerably more than Plevin alone, if Plevin is only commission over 50%?  Or am I missing something?  May seem a stupid question to people who know, but I'm just interested to know if there's any info out there on this, as the web doesn't seem to throw up many examples of comparisons between the two, but it has lots of examples of Plevin alone or full PPI alone.  I'm assuming the difference must be considerable if Plevin is only for commission paid over 50% though.

With credit card PPI, its not just the commission over 50% but also the profitsharing.    The banks shared the risks with the insurer and the FCA deemed that profit should be included as well as commission.   With that, it can take the excess over 50% to 30-40%.     So, a really rough and dirty figure for Plevin is around a third of the full redress.

    Hello,

Can I ask how you got your ppi complaint decision overturned?
Who was it through and what did you do to achieve this?

    Thanks
  • You send your complaint to FOS.

On your complaint rejection letter, it tells you what to do if you disagree with the outcome.  You have 6 months from receipt of that letter to raise an appeal via the FOS.
