Google Play fraud!!

Not sure If anyone can help me. On looking at my bank account today there have been 7 transactions amounting to £108 for purchases on the sims mobile game. This was not me. Yes Mt debit card was linked to my Google play account but it was not me who made the purchase, with speaking to my bank they are unable to refund me although they have blocked my account so it can't happen again, speaking to google play support they are only willing to refund me with 28.99 and not the remaining £77.00, they have told me to message the game developer for The Sims Mobile but they have just directed me back to google support, I have no idea how Im going to get my money back, I did not make the purchases but because it was made through my account and under my name they are saying this isn't fraud I am absolutely worried sick and going around and around in circles has anybody else had this happen? I've never played sims in my life and dont even have it downloaded.

It is not my daughter as she doesnt play the sims and I trust her word fully. You know when your kids lying!

So it's not you and not your daughter?  ;)
I think you'll have to learn a harsh and expensive lesson here and make your Google Play account inaccessible.
You are fortunate to get back £28.99 I'm afraid.
  • No it was NOT me or my daughter. I made fully sure of that before I perused this.

Have a look at your play store account and see what else had been downloaded. Also usually you only pay once for a game and not several times, unless these were for in app purchases.

The most likely possibility is I'm afraid to say your daughter, it it were fraud then it would most likely have been across a number of games/purchases etc. if you're going to steal stuff you tend to keep going until you max the card out
  • I understand what your saying, yes it was inapp purchases. I need to explain though that this happened over 2 days 10th and 10 of November and at times where my daughter was at school. She does not play or has ever played the sims and she doesn't use my phone and she has an amazon kindle that doesn't have the sims on it and has no card details of mine linked to it in anyway. I haven't logged on with another device either.

You're going to have a tough job evidencing any fraudulent outside activity here.

As I said earlier, I fear  this will be an expensive lesson in the importance of keeping such accounts secure.
