However, to my disappointment I read that a compulsory e-mail call will be made every 24 hours, which upon calling the office to…

18866 and 1899 featured on BBC TV!
18866 and 1899 have just been featured on today's Working Lunch. Given that these companies seem to be nearing capacity (I understand that they may be refusing new customers) then the free publicity may not be of much use!

Unsolicited phone calls
Been receiving quite a few of those lately. Has anybody use the service "Telephone Service Preference" where you register your phone number to stop getting these calls? It's just I am interested to know how do they know which calls to stop. Can you de-register once you have registered? Thanks

18866 charges not as advertised
I recently joined 18866 after hearing about it via Martin's Tips, ditching my unlimited monthly calls package.Their site advertised (& was still advertising today) local & national calls for non-BT customers at 0p/pm + 1p. I then happened to stay listening after dialling number# & realised that I was being charged 0.5p/pm…

I want to leave BT. Some advice please!
Although we spend only about £10 per quarter on calls, our bill is about £55. I use my mobile for calls (I have free minutes) to other mobiles, and have recently signed up with 18866 so I will be using BT even less. So I'd like to consider leaving BT for a provider where the standing charges are lower. I know that many…

18866/1899 Registration Problems (merged threads)
The call1899 site wouldn't allow me to register my Visa Debit Card. I think it may only take credit cards. It seemed happy to register me but the confirmation email they sent me told me my card had a problem. After 4 attempts I gave up. Every other site I use the card with has no problem with this card. No problems with…
