Tesco Home Phone
Does anyone know anything about Tesco's new home phone deal? My Mum was almost convinced by a very pushy sales assistant today while at the checkout who promised that they're cheaper than talk talk. Any clues?

Calling patients in NHS hospitals
Anyone think this is a scandal? 75p/min to call a patient at a hospital (landline to landline) . 10p/min if they call you. Hardly a free market is it? Mobiles not allowed and no other options available. Ian

Without intending that this end up on the Vent Board instead, I wonder how many other people active on the Telephones Board have also received this message? If we were later to see this product…

I have recently retired and find I now have more time to review my outgoings etc.I have an account with NTL for phone, TV and internet package. Call18866 Questions and Answers
As most regular MoneySavers will know call18866 is my recommendation for rock bottom no-frills cheapest calls providers in the UK (see the Cheapest way to make calls article). Yet 'no-frills' really means that, and it makes getting in touch with it a nightmare. As I have 'the phone-number' to get through and a number of…

Problems with Homecall
I signed up with Homecall last year, seduced by their promise of being cheaper than BT which is backed up by a "free calls for a year if we're not" guarantee. If you're thinking of switching to them, I wouldn't recommend them. After a year with them, I think they're not cheaper. I wrote in November to get them to look and…

We know that Telediscount, Telestunt and other call-through companies are also related. There are versions of these in several other countries, but 10787 is the first one I have heard of…

0800 Numbers
I have a OneTel account (served by a BT telephone line) for which I pay a flat monthly fee for unlimited calls to UK geographical numbers. I do not mind paying for any non-geographical calls that I make, but consider that 0800 (freephone) numbers should not be included. Is there any number that I can pre-dial, that will…
